i'm listening to superlongevities 3, 4, and 5. they are mostly great. the end.

it seemed to me that perlon had some kind of taint to it when i started getting into dance music around 2013 and i've been very ignorant of minimal up until now but wow this stuff is awesome.

When I finished my doctorate a few years ago, one off my gifts to myself was to fill in the gaps of my Perlon collection, including every release from their first ten years (though I’m still missing Morane the beach. That collection is among my most prized possessions - perlon has been such a guiding light for me since I started listened to house. Even if I’m not always excited by their more recent stuff, I’ve always felt something special about Perlon

Notwithstanding his being singled out for playing that dubious saudi arabian festival, the fact there are now audio samples and a release for the ~new melchior productions ltd~ album has me going bananas.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I actually anticipated an album release, but in the world of my niche tastes and formative experiences, release news doesn’t get bigger than this.
