I was going to submit a ballot but found it too difficult to narrow it down.

Also Morbs silently judging what I'd submit and shaking his head in disgust, wherever he is put me off.

I found it useful to lean into that.

Didn't Morbs have "Intolerance" on his list? I wish he.were here so I could ask him "what the actual fuck?"

Intolerance, for all of its problematic content, is a spectacular film. (As is Birth of a Nation, but that just makes its problematic content all the more poisonous.)

Intolerance was not, I think, on his ballot tho he had plenty of good things to say about Griffith’s place in the canon iirc.

Or at least he was dismayed that he placed 101st in the directors’ poll…

There was never any use trying to game or play Morbius or get on his good side imho. I mean I guess one could get on his good side, he seemed to like us, some of us, but he always reserved the right to respond grumpily to any opinion we might offer up.

i'm up for it. i'd like a little collaborative help to develop a template layout and work out a couple design considerations, but i'd be more than happy to put in the rest of the grunt work once we've done that. Moka set the bar rly high with the imagery for the EOY polls last year. i'd consider it a success if this were even half as beautiful as that work.

for my mind, the impressive graphic interface of some of the previous rollouts does very little to add to the experience. I always thank the person who made all the effort and I do appreciate their talents but in the wider scheme of things, I mostly dgaf.

On my screen, all images come up as text links. All that hard work on their parts is wasted on me.
