weirdly, Evelyn’s “Love Come Down” didn’t chart in the Netherlands, but the song went top 5 the next year in a reggae version by Barry Biggs (whose splendid "Wide Awake in a Dream" I only discovered last week):

It was Laura Branigan until I saw Evelyn King.

also, there’s no “Love Come Down” without Kashif, who wrote it. please feast yourself to “I Just Gotta Have You (Lover Turn Me On)", his first hit as a solo artist, a year after LCD. best rewrite ever!

It peaked at 44 in Canada, apparently. I don't think I know it.

I discovered “I Just Gotta Have You (Lover Turn Me On)" when Kashif died. Wonderful.

I'm familiar with 16 of these; Fleetwood Mac is the only one I actually love. As requested:

TOP 5
Gypsy
You Can Do Magic
Hold On
Eye in the Sky
Heart Attack

BOTTOM 5
Hard To Say I'm Sorry
Up Where We Belong
The One You Love
Heartlight
Eye of the Tiger

"Hold On" was a big hit in Canada due to being an Ian Thomas cover (thus eligible for Canadian content airplay). America's follow-up to "You Can Do Magic", "Right Before Your Eyes", was also an Ian Thomas cover.
I think I prefer “I Just Gotta Have You" to this Evelyn King song.

clear winner from that list: Stephanie Mills – What’cha Gonna Do with My Lovin’ - but that’s 1979

I'm with Sunder, I was obsessed with "Eye In The Sky" when it came out. Still dig it mightily.

I was thinking I might vote Eye in the Sky, I Keep Forgettin', or Love Come Down, but I thought about it some more, and this is definitely "I Ran"

Was this purposely pushed to 22 because forks knew it would win?
