its true

lag∞n, Friday, 9 July 2021 03:46 (two years ago) link

Oooof

pure rim rest (Spottie), Friday, 9 July 2021 03:46 (two years ago) link

bucks were pretty close to this one being more or less tied going into the final few minutes

they’re gonna have to figure out how to punish the suns for losing, essentially, their back up bigs or else the suns will prob look great playing small. they need to re-find the brook lopez of the final few games of the hawks series

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 July 2021 03:47 (two years ago) link

Congratulations Torrey Craig for winning his first championship!

No matter who wins the Finals, he will get a ring for playing for both the Suns and Bucks this season.

Don't know if we've talked about this but it's kind of wild when you put it this way

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Friday, 9 July 2021 14:27 (two years ago) link

that happened with varejao a few years ago

ciderpress, Friday, 9 July 2021 14:31 (two years ago) link

ah you're right, not sure if i ever put that together. if the bucks were to go on and win this series, i imagine it would be an odd emotional experience for craig to receive that ring.

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Friday, 9 July 2021 14:32 (two years ago) link

players not on the playoff roster dont automatically get a ring the team deicides iirc

lag∞n, Friday, 9 July 2021 15:05 (two years ago) link

varejao turned down the ring tho, good look

Yours in Sorrow, A Schoolboy: (forksclovetofu), Friday, 9 July 2021 15:10 (two years ago) link

if the bucks end up winning and it seems due in some part to craig’s absence he should get one tho lol

k3vin k., Friday, 9 July 2021 15:31 (two years ago) link

Have to say Denver’s moves this year haven’t worked. Shoulda kept craig, shoulda stuck with Gary and RJ

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 July 2021 15:38 (two years ago) link

i think that’s too soon to say, gotta wait and see when murray comes back

class project pat (m bison), Friday, 9 July 2021 15:47 (two years ago) link

def shoulda kept craig, but hindsight is 20/20 on the latter move, if jamal hadn't gotten hurt then it was the right trade

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Friday, 9 July 2021 15:47 (two years ago) link

idk aaron gordon is not looking like a playoff guy based on the info we have

call all destroyer, Friday, 9 July 2021 15:59 (two years ago) link

hmm why are we talking about the denver nuggets in the NBA finals thread…

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 July 2021 16:16 (two years ago) link

jk… gordon will be a great litmus test for whether you not ever being very good on the orlando magic is an orlando magic problem or a you problem

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 July 2021 16:17 (two years ago) link

i think on the one hand it’s valid to point out his role changed when murray got hurt, on the other it’s not a great look when the argument for a guy you essentially gave up multiple firsts for is “he would look a lot better if he had to do a lot less”

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 July 2021 16:20 (two years ago) link

you’ve got a point

class project pat (m bison), Friday, 9 July 2021 17:19 (two years ago) link

He needed to play better in that role, period.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 July 2021 17:30 (two years ago) link

yeah, theres still some hope for him tho

lag∞n, Friday, 9 July 2021 17:35 (two years ago) link

He delivered on defense that’s for sure. That’s why they did it, they knew winning a title was possible but they needed another frontcourt defender who could fill the dunker spot.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 July 2021 18:17 (two years ago) link

A lot of the Nuggets problems flow from going with Millsap instead of Gallinari tbh

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 9 July 2021 18:37 (two years ago) link

An MRI on the right knee of Suns F Torrey Craig revealed no structural damage, source tells ESPN. Craig injured knee in Game 2 on Thursday. His status on a return is day to day.

well damn

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 July 2021 19:07 (two years ago) link

giannis gave torrey craig a knee injury with no structural damage via osmosis

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 July 2021 19:08 (two years ago) link

lol

lag∞n, Friday, 9 July 2021 19:23 (two years ago) link

haaa love to see it

lag∞n, Monday, 12 July 2021 00:34 (two years ago) link

thanasis antentekounpo and jeff teague sharing the floor at the same time is the good stuff

k3vin k., Monday, 12 July 2021 00:42 (two years ago) link

Bucks are playing as though they don’t trust anyone but Giannis to make a shot

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 00:44 (two years ago) link

Portis and Forbes just passed up wide open looks, idk if you can win like this

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 00:47 (two years ago) link

Apologies for doomposting but this feels like the moment where the Suns go on a 12-2 run and never looo back

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 00:49 (two years ago) link

yeah, bucks look absolutely shook. they need elimination game urgency and theyre pounding it into giannis hoping he'll rescue them.

class project pat (m bison), Monday, 12 July 2021 00:51 (two years ago) link

its weird how the bucks made the finals and i still feel like firing bud and/or trading jrue/khris is probable in a month

class project pat (m bison), Monday, 12 July 2021 00:52 (two years ago) link

yeah they have absolutely stumbled to the finals if thats possible

lag∞n, Monday, 12 July 2021 00:53 (two years ago) link

tuned in just in time to hear van gundy do a full blown no reservations defense of a coach rant

call all destroyer, Monday, 12 July 2021 00:54 (two years ago) link

Ok that was absurd. Cool result but why didn’t Jrue shoot that. Even Giannis would’ve shot that.

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 00:56 (two years ago) link

this feels like the moment where the Suns go on a 12-2 run and never looo back

― frogbs, Sunday, July 11, 2021 8:49 PM (twelve minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

someone went on a 12-2 run

lag∞n, Monday, 12 July 2021 01:02 (two years ago) link

Hahahah my jinx worked!!!!!!

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 01:04 (two years ago) link

Finally the Suns are the ones who look out of sync

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 01:06 (two years ago) link

Not so easy when you shoot 20% from 3 now is it !??!!

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 01:11 (two years ago) link

God damn that ruled

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 01:13 (two years ago) link

Is it possible that bending Giannis’s knee backwards made him stronger

frogbs, Monday, 12 July 2021 01:16 (two years ago) link

The Bucks had 22 points in the paint alone in the 2nd quarter; that's tied for the most in any quarter of an NBA Finals game over the last 25 years.
