A lot of the premises rely on someone being very obtuse but of course the way it’s done is the key here and they nail it.

I try not to make hay out of this sort of thing but I do think the diversity of the cast of this show is a real strength, vs. the median White Guy Sketch Troupe Show. Really enjoyed the gay zoomers who made up the class of the tables sketch for example.

Haunted House Tour, Coffin Flops, Burger Professor, Santa Claus Action Movie, Undercover Mall Show, the concept of "sloppy steaks" are my faves.

i would list the things i don't like in this thread but i don't wanna be a buzzkill

i don't mind being a bit of a buzzkill and saying that i enjoyed this quite a bit less than the first season. still great though and the patti harrison sketches were among my favourites

i think back to front this got more laughs from me than the 1st but ymmv.

also if my experience with this is anything like it was with the first, i'll be watching through it multiple times and new favorites will arise.

weakest sketch for me was the one the culminated with the three waiters but i haven't rewatched it yet. i still laughed

everything involving dan flashes is gonna make me lol for months to come

Ending sketches seems to be an issue this time. Nothing as seamless as the spine center one morphing into the middle-aged hitmakers.

agreed with everyone that the dan flashes callback was a season highlight. the peaceful "the creeks" lead-up made it even better–you knew what was coming, but the execution of the chaos is so good that it doesn't matter.

some of the sketches were unusually wholesome, both odenkirk and the wife guy one

jamie taco keeps taking my lines!

that one made me lol because I once did a show with Ginger Minj (before they were Ginger Minj) and she told me that she was in a production of Father of the Bride and one of the actors was kicked out of the show because he couldn't get his lines out fast enough so everybody 'skipped over' them so he'd wind up never saying any of his lines.

ok actually the hilarious waiter brothers sketch is amazing

being under 60 lbs and holding a tammy craps doll is like smoking five macanudo cigars a day

episode 4 (is it?) has a really poor sketch with a guy dancing in a hat and glasses freaking a dog out and embarrassing everyone else in the room then is followed by the sketch with the pee-stained chinos which seems absolutely interminable. Those are the only two sketches in that episode, I think? Too many of the sketches revolve around extremely limited scenarios - someone doing something stupidly weird and everyone else feeling being embarrassed or repulsed by it. Most of the sketches end very unsatisfactorily as well, as noted above, which was a problem in s1 but is very much more of a problem this time around.

The Odenkirk sketch and the burger-theft sketch are great. The burger sketch has a really wild payoff.

it seems like tim's got the ability to be a much more nuanced actor than the limited joke types deployed here allow him (or the other ppl) to be

season 2 is definitely weaker

i would love for a more nuanced, longer sketch (even movie?) by tim. it does feel like he may not have it in him to write longer scripts, though

Small moment I’ve been giggling about all day is the way Crashmore says “Are you duuumb?!” after he blasts a dude in the head.
