I would opine that is playing on two meanings of the phrase, or illustrating a different meaning than Shakespeare intended. Great album in any event.

For our American friends. Bowlers in cricket will routinely keep one side of the cricket ball shiny by rubbing it on their trousers - it helps the bowler to swing the ball through the air - hence the red mark on this fellow's trousrs.

Not sure what accent they would sound the same in, tbh. The vowel sounds are different, for a start.
