i have a strange affection for the kind of jobs that a kid would be interested in. railroad engineer. tugboat captain (i believe "master of towing" is the title) and will actively look into how i would go about getting those jobs, and then never pursue them. i could be using that time to look for realistic ways to advance in my current field of work but don't

this is a real terrible idea, but it hasn't happened yet

eventually, the "expanded universes" of star wars / marvel et al will become so expanded that it will be viable for everyone on earth to "live" there through VR or the matrix or whatever. the star wars real world will be filled with NPCs to talk to and beautiful locations, as well "living storylines" of empire/rebellion factions. literally everyone on earth will be somewhere in the star wars world, several generations departed from earth.
