"Favre has been working out with the Oak Grove High School football team three days a week all summer, but added a Sunday workout this week."

hahahaha, can you imagine being a high schooler and Brett is grunting through wind sprints beside you? how weird must the showers be?

Okay, it's really rare I remember my dreams and I generally only remember part of them but I SWEAR TO GOD I actually had this dream last night:

You know how in dreams you sometimes "are" a person, but you're seeing them from the outside too? Okay, so I'm Brett Favre. And I'm standing on top of an overpass, maybe eighty, ninety feet off the ground. I'm holding my kid and my wife is standing next to me. And I make the decision to leap off the overpass and I'm going to do it with my kid. I know it's a bad idea, but I'm going to do it anyway. So I leap off and my wife is screaming so I think "okay, gotta protect my kid" so I intend to roll on my back to take the brunt of the impact, but without thinking I actively push my child away and she flies off in another direction and Brett is screaming and his wife is screaming and his kid is screaming and then kid hits the ground and Brett/I hits the ground and we all die. Then I wake up.

I guess what my subconscious is trying to tell me is that Brett really should stay retired.

⇑⇑⇓⇓⇐⇒⇐⇒ΛΒΒΛŠΤΛΓΤ (forksclovetofu), Monday, 20 July 2009 00:42 (fourteen years ago) link

tbh i think brett favre, when faced with the choice of stepping back from the brink of the overpass and definitely keeping himself and his kid safe OR jumping and just seeing what happens for the heck of it, would always choose the latter

"he said...all things passantino the night" (omar little), Monday, 20 July 2009 00:45 (fourteen years ago) link

It's just freaking me out that I had a dream that was the equivalent of a really bad football blog post.

I'm thinking in real life, Corey Webster would have been there to catch the kid.

Hey, if Quinn and Anderson both flop or get injured, the Browns....

...oh wait, I just remembered Mangini is there now. He'll take snaps himself before he picks up Favre from freeagency. LOL

Wow. I thought for sure this was a done deal and had been for months and Mr. Fun was just building the suspense. Shows you how little I know.

Chargers GM AJ Smith just told me: "The only thing I’ve thinking throughout this whole (Favre) situation is how smart Ted Thompson looks."

What if a certain former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback resumes throwing and informs Childress his surgically-repaired throwing arm and 39-year-old legs are up to a 19th NFL season?

"Not a chance from my standpoint. I'm going forward with the guys we have," Childress said.

Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 18 August 2009 17:13 (fourteen years ago) link

your only game plan at this point if you are Brad C is that you hope teams still fear Favre a bit and AP will be able to rush for hundreds of yards every game. i figure the offense will end up being about the same, more big plays more turnovers, but this will really expose a defense that was set to struggle anyway.

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 18 August 2009 17:34 (fourteen years ago) link

How do I find the video where Favre throws a pick and Mangini says "WHAT THE FUCK"
