I'm irrationally unexcited about this. Just can't work up any interest at all.

England would be mad to try and get a win against Croatia

And England never win their opening match whereas Croatia tend to. For some reason I'd like to see England play Ronaldo again 15(!) years later even though Portugal look stronger now than five years ago but it's unusual for defending champions to do well next time so why should they be any different.
