Am I the only one who thinks it's a shame Fantagraphics isn't publishing the dailies along with the Sundays? (Or are they, in the later volumes I haven't been able to afford yet?)

It's mainly because they picked up from where Eclipse went bust, and aimed to continue that series as such. Plus resources/expense/quality/sales vs. each other considerations. But there tend to be at least two other publishers banging out cheapjack daily collections at any given time to take up the slack.

I've never seen a daily KK collection!

Also, I guess I am the anti-DV, with my general love of newspaper strips.

I don't like the dailies as much - there isn't the space for the poetics, both verbal and visual - but I'd certainly buy any collections that came out.

Yes, but I think they create something of a context for the Sundays. I find the Sundays can be a bit overwhelming, and I like the dailies for creating space between the Sundays. If that makes sense.

Not only is this ingenious disposal of the tech, it bodes well for lots of future purposes. Somebody should invest some time/money.
