m. ward, along with destroyer, is one of the most under-appreciated artists around today. he has yet to release an album that is anything but excellent. i am seeing him this friday at the warsaw in brooklyn. most-dissapointing albums? transistor radio? that's just silly-nilly! i think it's a beautiful record.

little wings is weak, i think. whiny. blaugh.

m. ward, no question.

I've seen M Ward a couple of times and in a quiet, intimate venue there's few to rival him. That Waits esque croon and beautiful finger picking are deeply seductive. His last album was a disappointment though and he recycled a lot of the melodies he used on previous albums and just altered the tempo a little. Maybe he should try and beef up his sound a little a la Sufjan Stevens because there was definitely a feel of 'where does he go from here?' on Transistor Radio.

was really into 'transfiguration of vincent' when that came out, didn't keep up with him after that, can't remember why not. but that one album was really good, bowie cover and all

The new M. Ward album ("What a Wonderful Industry") is very good!
