i can still picture ryko's old website in my head. probably because it didn't change for about five years. didn't ryko/hannibal lose almost all their cash-cow licenses? or maybe they still have the zappa catalog? ryko is odd. jerry boys!

oh also at the dollar sale i found exuma's rude boy album from 1987. i only know his early '70s stuff and i'm slightly worried this will blow.

i have no idea what's up with ryko these days. after those bowie reissues they went very quiet.

Oddly enough, I own every track on that list with the predictable exception of track 2.

even the screaming tribesmen?

Yep, got it on the Bones and Flowers album which, strictly speaking, Laura bought a very long time ago, but it's still in the colelction.

silly me for not being aware that another day on earth (which i'll get around to listening to eventually) is on hannibal! that's going to be a cash cow.

do you know the history behind hannibal and ryko? like when they merged or whatever? hannibal is joe boyd's label right. i have some pre-ryko hannibal vinyl i think.

joe boyd started hannibal in 1980 but it got absorbed into ryko in the '90s.
