one year passes...
Pete Doherty appears at Bow Road magistrates' court later today after being 'too ill' to turn up last week.

Apparently the spin put on it is that he was arrested after the police found a flick knife in his car and charged with possession of a concealed weapon, whereas he was actually caught driving without insurance, which is far less - but probably more - rock 'n' roll.

Will it be a fine/conviction/community service/let off/failure to turn up/tonnes of publicity? The 'build-up' starts here...
