Bragging is counter-revolutionary while complaining shows solidarity with your fellow oppressed workers, but if you make the same complaints continually about that darn elevator's so slow or the photocopier's jammed again, it must be monday! - basically turning yourself into a fucking walking Cathy comic - well, then you are an opressor too. But now I am complaining and must turn myself in for reeducation.

Unjustified bragging is the way to go.

Yeah I'm sick of complainers. Sick.

Unjustified bragging is good. Justified bragging is vulgar.

Bragging about problems is the most annoying thing EVER. I prefer complaining.

their both about being insecure so whats the difference?

Depends on the person, really, and how well they do either?

In general, probably bragging. I'm so sick of relentless negativity lately that to hear someone actually being positive about their life, even if it is bragging, would actually be a relief.

seventeen years pass...

it's 2019 and the internet seems to be equal parts bragging and complaining about other people

personally, if given a choice between the two i would rather read about people's successes than their kvetches. imagine what it would look like if people swore off complaining on the internet (about other people, about anything -- no complaining!) for 3 months/whatever period of time. the level of hostility in the air would be reduced substantially. maybe some plants would be able to grow on account of the additional oxygen.

"Shut up your dogs or I'll fucking behead them!" I screamed… and the rest of the building cheered / applauded for me.

lmao

bragging definitely, it's depressingly common for people to be awful, rare for them to be awesome

neither bragging nor complaining are a guarantee of fact ofc

People seem to have found a good sweetspot between the two.
