So 20% is supposed to go to publishing? This shit is so confusing and everyone does it differently. I recently spent a lot of time looking into whether I should be getting any streaming revenue for a song that I produced for another artist, and in the end the answer I came up with is 'no', unless you specifically strike a deal that includes it. But since I do have half the publishing, it seems like I should be getting half of 20%, but I've never been able to make that happen.

Yeah I'm aware it's not Bandcamp's fault, just interested in what a typical digital sales revenue split looks like for artists. Name and shame maybe.

Reels is a duo album by pianist Matthew Shipp and drummer Whit Dickey. They've been playing together off and on for over 30 years, in the David S. Ware Quartet, Shipp's own trio, and with saxophonist Ivo Perelman, but this is only their second duo session. It's beautiful. Get it.

Echolocation is a collaboration between cornet player Graham Haynes and electronic musician Submerged. If you like early '00s Techno Animal or stuff on the Electric Ladyland and Macro Dub Infection compilations, or music on the WordSound label, you'll like this. Very heavy beats, piercing horn, warped sounds to dive into and swim around in. Get it.

only just now noticed that "The Time Has Come To Open Thy Heart/Wallet" popups are more frequent on some releases than others, I'm assuming this can be set by the label?

You can set how many free listens to give people, and to turn off the popup altogether if you like.
