There’s a long interview with him on the Yeah But Still podcast, talking about the demise of AGNB, an upcoming documentary, his impressions of CHAZ, plans to take adrenochrome with Brace Belden, etc. Kind of always on the verge of thinking he’s completely high on his own supply and his concept of what he’s doing is a lot more revolutionary than the actual product, but it’s an entertaining listen. (Tbh I have that general feeling about basically every YouTube personality.) I did have to laugh hearing him say that Seattle became gentrified in 2014.

there's def nothing revolutionary about what he's doing, the style of video is pretty trad at this point, goes back to what the daily show field reports, triumph the insult comic dog segments... maybe even earlier, could just be my limited memory. the PUA one didn't add anything to the story of that culture, for instance. his videos are entertaining tho & i enjoy watching them

idk there's a bit of a difference in how Andrew himself doesn't ever make himself a focal point and he doesn't ask a lot of gotcha questions - I guess it gets people to trust him. plus he seems to film a lot of places that are legitimately seedy, not just big media stuff

Slightly different styles of course, but for me there are some strong similarities with a lot of what Louis Theroux has done over the years. They're both particularly good at giving their subjects space.

I honestly forgot all about this guy, but one of his videos about the border popped up in the margins of something else I was watching. I have no idea what ultimately came of the accusations or cancellation or rehabilitation, but it looks like he's doing some good work.
