rolling emo/pop-punk/the fireworks album is never coming out thread of 2021

Good track. So can somebody trace the growth of vocal processing in emo/pop-punk/etc? Feels like it's become more and more prominent, not just Autotune but feeding vocals through all kinds of effects. I don't mind it, I think it can be used well, I'm just unclear on when it really permeated these genres.

yeah ... this album is just awesome. those dudes are clearly just exploding with ideas, pretty much all of them good.

I'm not sure it's actually better than Somewhere City which makes sense since apparently a bunch of this material predates it? but it clearly rules

i too am surprised that i find the double album more consistent but every song is a hook factory

the more juvenile lyrics keep me at arm's length but I recognize this is a Me Problem

I'm real finicky about lyrics lately for some reason

the juvenile lyrics are a pro for me because i am a grown-up child having a midlife crisis. every time that Taco Bell song comes i close my eyes and am back in my '91 Ford Taurus with my buddies after playing basketball all night.

ok gami gang is really fun, wildly overflowing with hooks & ideas

no denying they are overflowing with ideas and ambition but I just have not been able to get into this yet. I liked the last one too but I think these lyrics are preventing me from really clicking with it. Going to keep trying.
