I could see Harrison Barnes as a good game announcer. He kind of has the Grant Hill vibe.

there were a few recent celtics games where sean grande the celtics usual radio guy did the tv play by play with scal (bad) doing the color and it wasnt good but maybe because grande was like this is my opportunity to not detail every movement of the ball he did very minimal play by play and they were kinda just talking in a low key manner for a bunch of it almost like a podcast, idk like i said it wasnt actually great but it made me think there are some different styles that could be explored

john crotty is really good on the heat local broadcast, huge upgrade over the lughead ex-coach they used to have on the games

yeah media ppl seem to all speak very highly of barnes. bosh has been good on TV, obv very intelligent guy. it seems like he has other interests outside of the game tho. wonder if LMA will get into broadcasting

saw speculation that the spurs will go after him, kind of a perfect situation. spurs have tons of cap space, a need for a stretch big, plenty of good defenders to put around him.

i think he was seen as a mid to low first round pick coming into the year and then really got hot at the end of the season for UNC. he was a super fun player and i thought maybe he could be a lou williams level sixth man... maybe he still can, the bulls recent track record of development is awful. but white doesn’t seem to have a great idea of how to be a positive player on lots of nights
