Two extremely fun simulator teams I picked up from the forums:

Apocalypse
Domino
Magik

Every power cast, Magik puts protects on the board with subsequent casts also fortifies them and Domino’s power increases the likelihood of black dropping, which means that if you can play your cards right Apocalypse can multicast black on fortified protects multiple times, some of which will refortify. Get his yellow out first and cast Domino’s green for extra fun.

Black Bolt/5torm

Passive charged tiles + Adam’s ramped-up match damage + America’s crits = mayhem. Chase yellow and purple to heal Adam as he tanks. I like 5torm because she also fuels Adam’s AOE and can also drain black AP if he is AOEing himself to death.

Also from the forums, someone took the BRB/Polaris winfinite engine and subbed in 1* Juggernaut instead of 4* Thanos and it’s hilariously reliable

Apoc/Dom/Magic sounds awesome. BB/5torm team needs that particular power leveled to work but sounds good
How does that Jugg swap work?

In the traditional BB/Polaris/used to be 5* Marvel but now is 4* Thanos, you match BB's protects to generate blue and green and let Polaris duplicate them, then when you get 12 green you use Thanos to blow up half the board and get buckets of AP and shields in response, starting a winfinite chain.

1* Juggernaut does a similar thing but his power only costs 6 green, letting you start much sooner and recover faster if you miss blowing up shields on the first cast.

that's sick. Love seeing a combo that actually uses a underpowered roster slot!

It’s not a surprise that a new character would pair well with Okoye but 5Witch with her is kind of hilarious. I use purple as soon as I get 3 AP in it and cast it on yellow, which then causes a steady stream of yellow AP on the board that I can use to heal Okoye and generate more teamups to escalate the passive damage on 5witch’s repeater, which gives a good dollop of damage to whomever when it goes off plus gives damage protection from cascades and multihit powers. I’m in the early stages of the Iron Man PvP but I’ve already melted several Thorkoye and Thorpocalypse teams with it.

Mantis character tile effect is hilarious.
Feels like all the new characters are geared to fight the Polaris/Kitty teams - still tough though

Mantis is great and I’m a little bummed that my interest in playing dipped to the point where I think I’m going to be way behind in covering her

I did this in the final Shield Training node and got the Deadliest Woman instakill to trigger 5 times

This is also the first time I've had all of the boosted 5*s and uh holy shit, some of them really come to life at higher levels (looking at you, Colossus and Doc Ock)

Loaner Shang-Chi does crazy damage. His tile values are around 2000 at combo level 10, then he makes charged tiles and critical tiles (x4.5, best in the game) to multiply that further.

Probably irrelevant for you higher-tier players, but Polaris/R&G/Kate Pryde is a really fun team.

Shang-Chi is a BEAST, I've been one-shotting boosted BRBs in his PvP

He's a really fun playstyle too!

blob + polaris is the type of insanity that i like

But Blob is sort of an anti-Polaris, because he converts strike to countdown, no?

Polaris effectively becomes a buffing engine for Blob as long as there are specials in the top 6 rows; as she floods the board, he turns the bottom two rows into countdowns that heal him and make him stronger, freeing up more tiles at the top as the countdowns expire for Polaris to continue her thing. Plus, Blob throws out protect tiles whenever there’s a cascade or double move so you will eventually get specials for Polaris to multiply.

Hmmm... guess I'll work on him next for my 4* after I'm done with Lokigator
Still feel like nothing works too well against the BRB/Kitty/Polaris PVP team though. Finally champed my Kitty after all these years, at least

If you can burn down Polaris quickly, Kitty and BRB aren't too bad to manage; the real problem is all the free blue BRB generates, which lets Polaris stun you into oblivion. Melting Polaris and stunning Kitty slows them down to where you can knock them off before BRB gets 12 green in his pocket. 5* Colossus/Switch also help because of the damage reduction (Colossus for the mounting match damage, Switch for the power damage).

Blob only gives protects during enemy turns. Part of the insanity is that the tile damage increases don't have a limit -- with the boosted loan Blob, they easily go into the five digits.

I will say that the Thing/Star Lord/Mordo node of SHIELD Training was one of the easiest goes I've had of it in a while.

The Day 2 5* node was much harder than that Day 3 node.

my Onslaught is 2/3/4; effectively I just made him invisible to keep him out of the way and let Polaris buff Blob into the stratosphere

I have a single Onslaught cover, 0/0/1. Essentially just a meat shield.
