welp I guess I'm buying both. You're right, though, that was very confusing. Happy I managed to get the deluxe of Loveless and Isn't Anything but I hope the standard editions don't sell out as quickly because I can't afford them right now. Going broke over here!

Anyway, glad I have those 2018 pressings since these apparently vanished immediately this morning. I didn't even get an MBV email and I'm certainly on their mailing list. I wish they'd release the EP stuff on vinyl though.

I mean, I get that it's a challenge for determining the success of reissues, even before you consider the pressing plant delays, but it seems kinda baffling to make such a big buzz about reissues in limited quantities. I mean, they had a benchmark from 2018 to gauge the popularity, no? Seeing everything get released in such small runs is a bummer.

I'm not pulling the trigger on it myself, but there's a preorder for the m b v LP (no idea which edition) on amazon's canadian site. idk if there are others, but if you're desperate and don't mind giving them a few of your dollars (I won't judge), I'd keep checking there.

Got a feeling this will all go towards funding Kev sitting around on his arse for a while longer. Until the next batch of reissues, at least.

I don't know, he's earned his lazing around time imho. As much as I would love another new one.

I'm just annoyed that the RSD model of super-limited pressings seems to be ever so steadily becoming the norm.

As a long time fan with all the versions of the music I'll ever need, the best thing about this are the t-shirt re-issues. I can finally replace my long-lost maroon 'Loveless' T. I don't think I'd wear the 'Glider' long sleeve again, but it's awesome.

Woah these HD videos! I wonder why every band doesn’t do this.

A lot of bands/record labels have been upgrading their videos to HD or even 4K in some instances in the past year or two. In a lot of cases they just replaced the existing video that was already there.
Especially impressive are the restored 4K videos for the singles from Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill.

so what's the point of new digital remasters when there are already fully analog ones? is it because it's more difficult to do a fully analog release?

My question just answered itself as I was told the standard edition of Loveless I had in my cart is no longer available

Pounced on the standard Isn't Anything (an album I slightly prefer anyway) before it too sells out

so dumb that these are so limited

There's still some around if you do some searching, I just got a copy of Loveless from Picadilly Records in Manchester.

I'd love to see the EPs re-released on vinyl at some point.

I'm sure they are waiting to give the EPs their own vinyl release as they'll probably spread it over 3 records, so likely to be too much of a box set to 'drop' right now

still love the fact that re the 2012 reissues : lots of news re the 2cd edition of Loveless having a remastered edition of the digital and analogue version.
then they supposedly mixed up the labelling on the cds.
not that it was possible to tell any difference from what i can recall.

~ please tell me if i need to rip the other cd in my 2cd set (no idea which one i ripped at the time) and experience a massive difference ~

they mixed up the labeling and there was a digital error on the analog “what you want” it was a whole thing

to add to the confusion.. while the new deluxe versions of loveless and isn’t anything are claimed to be “fully analog” while the standard versions are from “hi res digital”, this doesn’t seem to be the case for mbv with the difference between the deluxe and the standard version being a different sleeve only, as far as i can tell from the description.

and don’t forget about the 2018 analog remasters including rejected pressings of isn’t anything as extras (at least that’s what i got, were there similar pressings of loveless?)
