I'm in 5th place! I think this is the highest I've reached this late in the season, and I still have a reasonable chance at promotion!

Yeah, me too! I was on a tear and have since lost my last 6 in a row (lol?) but should finish in the top eight in C.

Pretty good season yes, was in promotion placing after MD 22, with all in my own hands really, but then went on a fair loss to the rundle leader followed by a none-too-flattering 2(3)-6(3) defeat. I seem to be guaranteed a 4th or 5th placing in Meridian B. (Promotion isn't totally off the table I guess, considering the occasional higher-rundle attrition, but I'm not too bothered; contending in the top of B certainly has its charmes vs struggling against relegation in A.)

anyone have any very best wrong answers they wanna rep for? i can't even get thru them, so many of them wouldnt even be worthy of a temporary dn change on ilx which to me is the bar u have to pass for a VBWA

the person whose stats i posted above won the rundle for the fourth time in the last seven seasons and got *eleven* more correct answers than i did. utter savage

4th, finishing with a 9(5), which is always kinda fun. Highest TCA; 109 would even be top-half in the A rundle it seems.

8th worst TCA, third best CAA, and second best defensive efficiency are why I ended up and overall.

Btw, the Rivers, Lakes, etc. is another deck I recommend. I almost got the Irrawaddy question right because of it (I went with Salween).

What's up with the fingerprint?

With 18 categories, the total number of combinations is over 6 quadrillion possible orderings, so the theory is that with some tens of thousands of players, each one has a unique order of categories (ranked best to last or whatever).

It occurred to me that, with 18 LL categories, the number of ways to order the categories far, far exceeds the number of active LL players (or humans in general). In principle, then, everyone might be expected to have a unique category ordering by Q% and that be a "fingerprint" of sorts.

It's hard for me to imagine that *no one* else shares my fingerprint (6BGE147FA8D9I2H53C, if you must know), given that there are some correlations between strength in some categories and weakness in others. But maybe!

Ha, no. Did you use the Bulk Uploader?

I did (definitely beats copy-pasting a dozen times). It can however be a little wonky, but trying again seems to iron out the wrinkles.

Mine is not live until May.

Yeah, there are some subtleties to the Bulk Upload, but overall seems to work pretty well.

By the way, may I ask how many people ended up giving you feedback?

12/12 for the second one; the first one I think was 11/12.

For the second one, we got about half of them within the last few days before the testing deadline (though a whole bunch right after I submitted the drafts). They definitely came in in waves.

I'm not as sure about the first one because forks took the lead there (and only one smith gets notified as the feedback comes in).

I have created a couple of Alpaca Farm quizzes, which I had fun with, but maybe I should try to do an official 1DS at some point. It's always just seemed like a long and complicated process.

Maybe, but there’s just something about seeing something you wrote come out in that format.

My 1DS comes out May 3. I have 11/12 feedback right now (the 12th still has a couple weeks and I personally almost always submit my feedback on the last day so I can't really complain).

Smithing 1DS's is definitely a time consuming and pretty thankless process but it's one of my favorite things about LL. Not something I would do if I didn't find writing and tinkering with questions fun though.
