a week to go! sorry everyone i've completely dropped the ball on, uh, beign on ilx lately. as such we only have... 5 ballots. yikes.

Just sent mine. I really thought I'd played more 2020 games, but it turns out I was just playing a lot of 2019 games during 2020. I wish I'd voted in the 2019 poll - what a year that was! Baba is You, Dicey Dungeons, Disco Elysium, Dragon Quest 11, Dragon Quest Builders 2 (which in any normal year I would've given max 30 points, but not in 2019, when it would squeeze out everything else), Yakuza Judgment, Control, Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon, Link's Awakening remake, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Untitled Goose Game...

I don't even know if I could choose among them for my 'non-2020 goty' vote. I think Judgment, Disco Elysium, Control, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance were all ones I played in 2020 rather than 2019. Gun to my head it's Disco Elysium, but with a pang of guilt for shunning Judgment.

I think I will have to... Extend voting? We aren't even close to old numbers :(

Oh shit, sorry, I never got round to this. Even though I'm probably not voting for much I'm p busy this weekend with other stuff, so if you could extend the deadline to after that I'll definitely put in a ballot.

oh, you have no idea, seriously! in the last week alone i've picked online fights with aphex twin, beeple (who seemed confused by my anger), horde of classist #crypto teens, and some #NFT "climate advisor" who is actually a "#crypto advocate" trying to "build a tool to measure something related to the Paris Accords"

one of these days i'll play a single game in the year it was released and be able to contribute

i still think it would be cool to take a year off (like 2021, for next year) and do some polls of older eras where there are many more games that we all know. then, we could come back to coint and plick in 2023 to cover 2021 games, with a bit more of a gap built in. maybe that's weird

waiting until march is tbh already pretty generous in giving people time to catch up

15 is exactly half of the standard for a significant sample size, 30. rounding up to 30/30 (#onethread), that makes this poll exactly significant enough to set the standard. well done voters!

the rest of you, though. if there were justice in this world, you'd have to game your way back into being a gamer, through some sort of tournament. as it is, i suppose some of these so-called "gamers" will probably just go on about their lives as if nothing weird had happened at all, if past is prologue

wanted to but then I realized that I only played one of the games on the 2020 list, so I didn't. somehow seemed even more uncool than not voting :/
