Top of the Lake wasn't perfect but she was great in it

As I said on the 21st-century actors thread, she and Carrie Coon are my two favourite actresses right now. Shirley is the fourth film of hers I've seen--still a few to catch up on, but of the four I probably liked her best in this. Whether she ever eclipses Peggy on Mad Men that'll be tough. Haven't yet seen The Handmaid's Tale.

Its maybe obvious ito resemblance a bit but she brings great jodie foster/clarice starling energy to a few roles

Also saw The One I Love, so five films. She had a pretty big role in Girl, Interrupted, long before Mad Men. I may have seen that, but I don't remember the film or her.

This past Xmas season, I was quite amused to discover Moss voiced the female lead in the '90s animated Frosty sequel TV special w/John Goodman (one of her first roles, IIRC).

I like her a lot, even when — as in Her Smell, e.g. — I think the movies fall short.

I stayed away from that one based on the trailer I saw, but yeah, I get the feeling she's worth seeing in anything--hard for me to imagine a bad performance from her right now.

Almost went with that for the thread title. I checked a couple of Peggy Olson Quotes lists, tried to look for something lesser known.
