such a rad and weird single... nu-metal's relationship with industrial rock was more implied than realized except with these guys and like contemporaneous fear factory records, but it is such a rad sound, all these weird detuned guitar lines like bending light trails through a techno-industrial cityscape.... more nu-metal should've taken from gary numan as well

It showed up as a b-side to the "Blue Monday" single (which I bought) and basically made me go "no matter what else this band does, they gave me this ferocious Thing I will treasure forever"

Stitches is great. Another time capsule song for me

the album is a little long in a 2001 kind of way but they nail this sound throughout and nothing strikes me as bad

very obsessed with this record again lol, i gradually ended up rejecting it as a teen bc the lyrics came off to me as embarrassing cyberpunk nonsense... of course now i think that's fine and good

there was also an inherent queerness in orgy's presentation + the intermittent references in the music to gender and androgyny, which may have been a total put-on but i appreciate it anyway

I just realized that I think a lot about this album. Even though I haven't listened to it in years, the lyrics will pop into my head fairly regularly. Not sure what that says about me, but it definitely left an impression.
