I love a steals or blocks trip dub. His stats have been pretty wild the last couple games

I wonder if anyone's had a 25-25 game followed by a blocks trip dub before. doubt it!

As you might expect with the number of blowouts early this season, there are some sizeable differences between teams' records and their point differential -- the latter of which typically predicts better going forward. pic.twitter.com/j0wvGQhmWF— Kevin Pelton (@kpelton) January 28, 2021

that actually looks pretty linear to me, I guess in normal seasons it must be even tighter, even after only 20 games?

Warriors have quietly climbed to #10 in defensive rating: 109.3. Kerr has publicly targeted the top-10 since Day 1 of training camp. They struggle to rebound, foul too much, but hold opponents to 44.1 percent shooting, third lowest in NBA.— Anthony Slater (@anthonyVslater) February 5, 2021

Have to assume those numbers include ABA, I think Issel spent a good chunk of his career there (also Dr J so high up). Elvin Hayes is before my time but based on counting stats alone he definitely seems under-discussed. Before I became a basketball trivia junkie Elvin Hayes and Elgin Baylor were definitely in the “I always get those 2 mixed up” pile
― Lavator Shemmelpennick, Tuesday, 9 February 2021 18:32 (three years ago) link
Issel is in the pile of guys who poured on points in the pre-Jordan era with like Terry Cummings, Kiki Vandeweghe, Jack Sikma, and more prominently Gervin, English, Dantley. Maybe instead of good-stats-bad-team guys they are good-stats-bad-era?
― Lavator Shemmelpennick, Tuesday, 9 February 2021 18:35 (three years ago) link
