but he won't be getting a shag from me.
― Rubyred, Saturday, 14 July 2007 00:35 (sixteen years ago) link
my facebook relationship status is 'complicated'. so hopefully that preempts any unwanted player-moves.
― Rubyred, Saturday, 14 July 2007 00:36 (sixteen years ago) link
you think so? why? 'complicated' doesnt necessarily suggest that to me
― Filey Camp, Saturday, 14 July 2007 06:37 (sixteen years ago) link
exactly. complicated relationship vs easy shag.
― grimly fiendish, Saturday, 14 July 2007 09:16 (sixteen years ago) link
not that i'm saying you're easy :) i just mean, which would most people choose? or think that a potential facebook hook-up might want?
(me: probably the complicated relationship. at least, based on historical example. but hey. i'm just weird.)
― grimly fiendish, Saturday, 14 July 2007 09:19 (sixteen years ago) link
I don't think I'll ever be joining Facebook, despite having been invited to by one friend recently. Its one online area I don't feel like I belong in for various reasons.
-- Trayce, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 06:53 (3 days ago) Link
Why, because most of the population are young enough to be your children?
ZING! ZOOM-ZOOM-ZOOM!
I kid, Trayce, you know I do.
― Mikey Bidness, Saturday, 14 July 2007 09:29 (sixteen years ago) link
um, doesnt complicated mean kind of non-monogamous, which means, (hopefully) no strings easy hookup time? cuz theyre going to stick with the other person (otherwise, they'd just be single)
― Filey Camp, Saturday, 14 July 2007 11:55 (sixteen years ago) link
one of my friends who claims 'complicated' status is having a fucking kid and moving in with the one he's 'complicated' with. i think it's usually a desperate bid to appear interesting.
― That one guy that hit it and quit it, Saturday, 14 July 2007 11:58 (sixteen years ago) link
(jokes bruv)
it's complicated
― RJG, Saturday, 14 July 2007 12:02 (sixteen years ago) link
it always is, with some people.
― That one guy that hit it and quit it, Saturday, 14 July 2007 12:04 (sixteen years ago) link
my 'complicated' status is for a couple of reasons: firstly, because i'm in this more-than-friends thing with someone who lives in another country. we have no exclusive relationship, but he's the shizzle and i have no interest in casual flings with anyone else. secondly, i won't rule out meeting someone and falling for them, but the truth is that i'm totally into someone else, and i don't want to lie about it. at least this way, the subject comes up right away, so the other person knows where they stand.
-- Filey Camp good point --- i hadn't considered this!!
― Rubyred, Saturday, 14 July 2007 12:14 (sixteen years ago) link

― Drooone, Friday, 20 July 2007 00:34 (sixteen years ago) link
that stuff is weird and annoying. i got made a zombie, but i can't really be bothered with it - it seems kinda pointless. but then i'm worried about hurting people's feelings :(
― Rubyredd, Friday, 20 July 2007 00:58 (sixteen years ago) link
Yeah I got asked to side with ninjas or some crap and I've already ignored that one geez.
― Trayce, Friday, 20 July 2007 01:00 (sixteen years ago) link
there seems to be a ton of that stuff - food fights, stupid quizzes etc. at least myspazz doesn't have that kinda lame shit (although it has all sorts of other lame shits).
― Rubyredd, Friday, 20 July 2007 01:02 (sixteen years ago) link
I like ninjas.
― Drooone, Friday, 20 July 2007 01:03 (sixteen years ago) link
I'm afraid of zombies.
Facebook's Scrabble application ("Scrabulous") is my new favorite time-waster.
― Sara R-C, Friday, 20 July 2007 01:07 (sixteen years ago) link
yeah I am getting really annoyed by all the apps - the only ones I've used are graffiti wall and today I added catbook. it lets you post as your cat and that has to be good for at least.. minutes of entertainment.

― Matt DC, Friday, 20 July 2007 14:33 (sixteen years ago) link
it's silly tho, you can play all these games online together anyway, set up friend leagues or whatever. more effort tho eh.
― blueski, Friday, 20 July 2007 15:50 (sixteen years ago) link
I keep adding apps and then deleting'em a day later. Still, I rrrreally like FB. Much more fun than MySplat.

Hey now.
― Ned Raggett, Friday, 20 July 2007 15:59 (sixteen years ago) link
Steve yeah that's true but it's very good for Facebook themselves in that people spend bludy ages on the site at any one time. Even more time than they did before that is.
― Matt DC, Friday, 20 July 2007 16:12 (sixteen years ago) link
I add an app then I delete an app. There should be an app for this.

Hey Ned, have you looked at Wikipedia today?:
"Did you know....that the nickname Ned arose from an instance of rebracketing, as children interpreted the term of endearment "mine Ed" as "my Ned"?"
― Mark C, Friday, 20 July 2007 17:12 (sixteen years ago) link
see also Ellie --> Nellie, I'd imagine.
you know the thing I find weirdest abt facebook? The gifts for a dollar thing. Speshly as they're not real gifts! Mind you, Today's Gift is a stinky skunk. Who'd want to send anyone a Stinky Skunk, real or virtual???
