Just caught Nehemiah Persoff in a 1968 episode of Hawaii Five-O and he looked well into middle age then!

I see that Asner was recently mentioned on his birthday but it really should be remarked: every time I see him in something from the '70s (most recently, the 1977 Christmas TV movie The Gathering) he seemed moderately old, like at least late middle age, 40+ years ago. And then I almost immediately wind up seeing him in something current (most recently, Cobra Kai) and thinking, wow Asner got himself some good genes.

Three of the main cast of The Time Tunnel (1966-1967) are still with us: James Darren (84), Lee Meriwether (85) and Robert Colbert (89).

Prompted by a Bill James piece this morning, Luis Aparicio. 86, not all that old, but for me he does belong to a world before the world before this one (broke in the year Jackie Robinson retired).

I know he was just in "Knives Out," but I rewatched "Blood Simple" last night and even back in 1984 M. Emmet Walsh did not seem long for this world. Currently 85.

I went looking for one of his performances on Crackerjack, a take off of Pagliaci doing "Funny Funny" by The Sweet, as part of the final musical play that week. Looks like it was wiped, which is a shame, full makeup and deadpan, absolutely killed me at the time.

i remember reading a puff piece interview with michael aspel about 15 years ago where he mentioned in passing that although he does get joy out of his life and likes when his children/grandchildren visit, "the darkness" often comes in.
