I make a little time in my life for the Sleaford Mods every now and then

Marc Riley praised a lot more and his opinion means a lot less but I would just like to co-opt this thread to say that his approval of the Flat Worms was not done in error, they are good

The female guest vocals on a couple of the new tracks do feel like a welcome alleviation of the sometimes relentless blokiness of this stuff, while still being totally consistent with the overall aesthetic.

I don’t really think of them as particularly blokey per se; Jason’s not like his onstage persona when he’s offstage, and Andrew’s gay. That said, I do also welcome the recent female guest vocals... they offset something.
