still pretty early in his career! but yeah, he's been magnificent so far. unless the cardinals do especially well next year, i expect their president of baseball ops (mozeliak, who is still effectively the GM) to be gone. it's not exactly fair, i guess, but arozarena becoming a hearo may be his death knell

you talking about arozarena? he only played 23 games in the regular season (called up at the very end of august), but he hit .281/.382/.641, with 7 HRs

Normally I'm 1000% leave-him-in--especially facing elimination, especially with a manageable pitch count--but I don't know, if it's something Snell just doesn't do, maybe it's risky. I heard earlier today he hasn't pitched beyond the fifth inning in something like a year (and was generally finished after six in his Cy Young year).

But yeah to me the bad decision is less taking out Snell, than specifically using Anderson who has been trash against the Dodgers.
