It's a fun game and not nearly as punishing a shooter as I was afraid it would be, which is A++++++

It depends on where the dragon is. If it's a world boss, you have to wait for it to respawn. If it's in a dungeon, your party gets its own copy of the dungeon to play in so there's no waiting.

I am taking a self-imposed break from raiding and levelling an alt; I've got my scrubby lowbie mage up to 13.

ha, i am about to do the same thing. i've been trying to level this hunter for years (was like the 4th char i created) and i've finally made some progress.

s1ocki: the main emphasis is on instanced dungeons now. i guess the world bosses were causing too much problems with safe faction griefing and whining, etc.

i just started fallout 3 but i'm not really wanting to open the thread and find out a bunch of stuff i have yet to do. as with everyone else i seem to have gotten as far as megaton on the main quest line and gotten distracted for 10-12 hours doing side quests

also i only just started doing FPS stuff in the actual FPS way, rather than hiding behind cover and popping out and using VATS. it feels a bit like mass effect if it weren't broken

ugh, a week away from raiding and suddenly I really, really suck

i miss the level 60 days when I had no job and would play AV until 4am with the same sad group of losers ;_;

oh man, old-school AV was pretty epic; I used to love just spending entire Saturdays in there

FYI. this game is really hard to quit when you raid with real life friends.

Yeah, so I am getting screwed out of raiding by work and by real-life commitments, boo.

I WANT MY TIER 8.5 SHOULDERS TOO ;_;

(ps: for those who didn't know, the end bosses of the major dungeons have been leaning on some serious Lovecraft-inspired insanity; this current one has this amorphous octopus of insanity named Yogg-Saron who will make your character go crazy and start killing teammates if you stare at him for too long)

i have more or less quit the game and devoted myself to getting more exercise and playing more games on PSN. i did help the guild get our first XT hard mode the other night.

Yup, in honor of the 5-year anniversary they're making Ony into a modern raid that has a chance of dropping a 310% mini-Ony flying mount. Also, everyone who logs in during the anniversary gets an Ony whelpling pet.

Basically this is making me want to run the old Ony as many times as possible before November since I only ever did it once; need old lootz!

had one ony fight where the only dps left was the tank. it was epic and very boring.

The one time I did Ony was about 3 months ago; basically it was me and a bear tank. We each made something like 50g off her, woot.

Getting pulled in at the last minute by our "elite" core into a full clear of Ulduar 10 after our main raid fell apart due to low healer attendance and getting all of the hard-mode achievements in one night, resulting in getting a lovely rusted-iron protodrake at the same time as our elite core, who have been working on these achievements since Ulduar came out 6 months ago: C/D?

also from way upthread: I've still never been to the end of Black Temple, never seen Sunwell Plateau, and just set foot in BWL for the first time about 4 weeks ago I've done all these now and Sunwell must have been RAD back in the day!

also lol went back and leveled my old warrior main to 80 and am currently working on my death knight; the goal is to get all of my alts to 80 and park them until the next expansion

Mine must be around there. It was 19 days back in the day, & with two 80s + various random alts... Def enough time to become proficient in a language or write a respectably received novel or get ripped w/o killing myself in the gym or starving.

But kicking it till Cataclysm now. Cancelled the account yesterday, so cannot and will not check my /played.

I relapsed, partially out of boredom and bad weather, and partially to play on a server where a bunch of people in my family have been playing. I transferred my crappy resto druid over there and am healing for the first time ever. I've only been playing a few hours a week, and I can't say my opinion of the game has improved, but it's better than chatting on IM.

i feel the temptation now and again, especially when I "finish" another game. the way wow marries you to a single server and a set group of players is a huge part of the addiction. i wish games on xbl did the same thing.

I plan to get them all to level cap in Cataclysm too

i haven't played in awhile, but i had a pally at level cap, a rogue at a few levels below and a druid at 60. I still feel shame about the number of hours required to get all of them to those points.

at least the mage is still languishing at 22 and I don't have any 80s on another server

Are they ever going to make a new game or just keep adding stuff to this one? The graphics are kind of old-looking.

2 80s, and a pally slowly drifting that way. Under control right now: not playing much, mostly dailies and AH to get a little pile of gold for Cata expenses. Oh, and the event has been sort of fun so far.

I'm ok with the graphics, am in that large-ish swathe of audience thinking 'plz plz plz plz don't make it too pretty, want it to run on my laptop'.

Want to roll a Worgen, but I am for the horde.

I think blizzard is working on an entirely new mmo which will probably take most of the people off of wow. theyll still support it but probably never replace

I think maybe I'd need a US account (and hence fresh US copies of the games to associate with it) to play on the US servers. I went through a bit of this with an American friend a couple of years ago, but I'm not 100% I'm remembering correctly.
