thread for when you read the tracklist of an album you've heard dozens of times and have no idea what "song x" sounds like

I pulled out Nada Surf's High/Low this afternoon, a record I haven't heard in forever but which I listened to constantly in high school, and I could have stared at the tracklist for the rest of the day and never would have been able to recall "Icebox".

Of course, when I put it on, it all came back to me, but man, that song was just GONE from my brain.

Post here if/when this happens to you.

Anything on the second disc of The Fragile not named Starfuckers Inc (and i wish I didn't remember that to be honest)

I'm sure I do actually enjoy most of that disc, but by the time I get to it, if i do indeed get to the end of the second disc, i've just lost that much attention to not clearly remember it.

Sometimes songs being named after a clearly obvious lyric or indeed songs actually having something obvious to set them apart from the rest of the songs on a record also helps. I can't remember any songs from Adrenaline off the top of my head save 7 Words, and thats also the only track on there with a major hook to set it apart. The rest sort of smooshes together... it has a sound but maybe no songs?
