What if I told you the best sheet thread count was 250?

Crazy, right?

All over the internet, you see sheet sets with 1,500 thread count, and the more the better, right? So why is 250 ACTUALLY the best?

Here’s the deal:

Anything above 400 thread count isn’t really a high thread count sheet. It’s actually just a sheet with multi-ply thread.

When you see a thread-count higher than 400, the number is nearly always a lie.

i honestly never thought of it that way.

I have blisters on my feet from the new hiking boots I ordered online without getting to try them on first, and I am TIRED of ordering things online without getting to try them on first, because there's just always problems and I hate returning things.

I have given up on expensive hiking boots that fuck up your feet and start falling to pieces after a few months. I just get hard wearing, sturdy Magnum trainers or shoes from army surplus sellers on e-bay for around £20. Much better vfm!

But they were the same brand as the last pair of hiking boots, which I got for like £30 at TK Maxx? And those boots were excellent, they were so comfortable and lasted for about 3 years, which is unheardof quality for cheap boots!

I've also been trying to break in a pair of solovairs since the start of lockdown and fml I have never worn such painful shoes. They are *more* painful than Docs which is saying something!

I went through a period of getting 2nd hand docs on e-bay thinking at least they last forever. And even when I put an extra soft insole in them, they were causing me agony - especially in right foot with has a metal plate screwed to ankle.
