It's as much fun watching Scotland as it's ever been. Really feeling the value in this lockdown Sky sub.

Me myself and I watching the big game at home today.

I have never been less stoked for the madness.

Jotters all round for our coaching team. Tactically inept. No motivation. No organisation. Nothing.

Took me 12 minutes of half watching Arbroath vs Hearts to realise Hearts weren't the team in maroon.

absolute glamour tie in Gayfield on a Friday night

here comes the hotstamper (jim in vancouver), Friday, 23 October 2020 19:09 (three years ago) link

I'd quite like to have ticked Gayfield off my list if Covid-19 wasn't around - first competitive fixture there since 1979! Cue "you'll have a chance to visit next season" jokes.

Truly saddened to learn of Ebbe Skovdahl’s passing. Ebbe was in charge of @AberdeenFC from 1999 to 2003, he was 75 years old. RIP ❤️ pic.twitter.com/tbyG7tPVvd

Marius Zaliukas dead at 36 from MND

here we go, ten in a rona (onimo), Sunday, 1 November 2020 11:53 (three years ago) link

Oh, that's terrible. I didn't know he was ill. Such a horrible horrible disease. RIP.

(Missed the news about Skovdahl as as well. Can't we have nice things any more? Ryan Christie's goal was a belter this afternoon)

ailsa, Monday, 2 November 2020 01:15 (three years ago) link

Nice things were so hundreds of years ago :(

Fantastic finish from Christie but I'm still struggling to get worked up about fan-free-fitba. Like I appreciate the technique and applaud it like I would any of darragh's efforts in the 'I SCORED A GOAL FFS' thread but I don't get out of the eight month deep crater in my couch.

here we go, ten in a rona (onimo), Monday, 2 November 2020 10:07 (three years ago) link

that zaliukas story is very sad. so young (not just saying that because we're the same age).

Celtic actually winning a game feels novel!

Politically homely (jim in vancouver), Monday, 2 November 2020 18:19 (three years ago) link

we not got a set piece coach or what

||||||||, Thursday, 5 November 2020 20:27 (three years ago) link

Have I requested the sacking of everyone recently? If not, that.

Highlight tonight was Lennon asking Kennedy for an opinion and Kennedy straight up shrugging and turning away

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

here we go, ten in a rona (onimo), Thursday, 5 November 2020 23:22 (three years ago) link

two weeks pass...

At the moment it looks like the best hope for Celtic is to win every Old Firm game because Rangers are just rolling over everyone else. It helps that they have the advantage of a one goal start in every game though with a guaranteed penalty for Tavernier. I doubt they can keep it up for an entire season. Fingers crossed anyway.

Naughty Boys Hoo! (Tom D.), Sunday, 22 November 2020 14:04 (three years ago) link

11 points behind with two games in hand and three glasgow derbies left. ano celtic have been absolutely chronic so far but think people need to keep a wee bit of perspective. NL needs to do something to get on top of the three remaining derbies though because slippy has looked like he has his number

Gary Holt presumably leaving Livi for the Celtic job.

60 minutes at and home and 1-0 down and with 70% possession We've managed 3 shots on target and forced Ross Co into committing a total of 4 fouls. This team is done.

I actually have no idea but it feels like change is needed.

Big factor (ok excuse) for me this season is our 12th man usually helps while at Ibrox it can often add pressure so lockdown is costing us points.

A club looking for a reasonable deal on Jack Ross probably shouldn't have set Leeann Dempster on her high horse over rearranged fixtures at the exact time they're looking to negotiate.

Shots each with the clown shoes again tonight.

We're overdue being the high profile comedy show in Scotland, need to just suck it up.

It all just seems so unnecessarily self inflicted when we're the only club with any fucking money.

Hibs v St Johnstone is not objectionable tbh.

Authoritarian Steaks (Tom D.), Sunday, 9 May 2021 15:43 (two years ago) link

Quite an enjoyable game, that (apart from repeated texts of "aw pish" from my mate). Hibs v St Johnstone sounds like it could be a decent final as well.

ailsa, Sunday, 9 May 2021 15:47 (two years ago) link

Fucking hell, eh.

Had to watch that in a pub in Dundee; but it was the three of us and three Utd fans.

Unreal. Don’t know how to react really.

I’m delighted it happened and gutted I couldn’t be there. Have had a few years without a season ticket for various reasons but I’ll get one for the upcoming season.

hamicle, Saturday, 22 May 2021 17:15 (two years ago) link

Excellent season, shame tptb decided on manager of the season before the season was done.

ailsa, Saturday, 22 May 2021 19:04 (two years ago) link

There would have been (more) rioting in the streets if Stevie Me hadn't won it tbf.

Are Animated Dads Getting Hotter? (Tom D.), Saturday, 22 May 2021 19:33 (two years ago) link

three weeks pass...

What a world we're living in when Celtic get a new manager and only find out about it days later and by accident. The world's gone mad I tell ye.

Are Animated Dads Getting Hotter? (Tom D.), Sunday, 13 June 2021 09:46 (two years ago) link

Anyone made the crack about Celtic being unable to attract a big name manager so settling for a manager with a big name instead yet?

Are Animated Dads Getting Hotter? (Tom D.), Sunday, 13 June 2021 16:11 (two years ago) link

two weeks pass...

the AP going for Mooy is an interesting rumour, he'd be a great signing I reckon but I'm slightly biased as he's the best Town player I have seen in my lifetime, as low a bar as that is. I think he'd have to take a pay cut because he's on super stupid megabucks at Shanghai and his brother recently died so idk if he'd want to be a couple of extra thousand miles away from home.

calzino, Friday, 2 July 2021 09:29 (two years ago) link

Mooy played for St Mirren right at the start of his career!

Are Animated Dads Getting Hotter? (Tom D.), Friday, 2 July 2021 18:10 (two years ago) link

moy is a bhoy would be a good headline. make it happen ange

《Myst1kOblivi0n》 (jim in vancouver), Friday, 2 July 2021 22:01 (two years ago) link

How good or otherwise is James Vincent? Can't say he stood out to me in the episodes of Sportscene I saw last season but maybe he just got short shrift in the edit

Well *I* know who he is (aldo), Saturday, 3 July 2021 11:05 (two years ago) link

In normal times I wouldn’t be that excited to be in a football stadium for a pre-season friendly (St Johnstone vs Preston North End), especially with last season’s cup successes, but it’s 2021 and I am mildly excited to be in a stadium for a pre-season friendly.

hamicle, Tuesday, 13 July 2021 17:40 (two years ago) link

Just the matter of PSV Eindhoven or Galatasaray for Saints in Europa League QR3 for Saints (we get the loser of that tie, Celtic or Midtjylland get the winner).
