The only ones I've read are two of the children's books, so not really motivated to vote.

there's a 1931 film adaptation of Leroux's The Perfume of the Lady in Black but I think the 1974 giallo just borrows the title

Why Did You Spoil My Life Making Me Do My M.A.?
Someone should write a modern version of this (substitute PhD for MA).

agree that the house on the borderland is great - a must read for weird fiction fans - and the night land is unreadable. carnacki and his pirate stories are entirely meh.

So many good things on this list: Maurice Guest, Sanshiro, A Room With A View, The Road into the Open (the Schnitzler), The Old Wives' Tale, House on the Borderland, Wind in the Willows. No idea which way to vote.

Shame The Night Land is no good. The synopsis makes it sound interesting. I'd love to hear some sort of audiphile radio adaptation of House On The Borderland

Love Arsene Lupin. My French reading skills are not all they should be, so Arsene Lupin is my go-to when I want to make myself read a book in French.
Same!
