I guess I haven't known many people who care enough about music to seek out these albums but not enough to develop an individual taste or curiosity that departs from that?

This list reads like a specific college student's CD collection circa 2005Oh, that's interesting. I was struggling to imagine anyone whose favourite albums would be these albums, in this order, while I could easily do that with the RYM list.― The nexus of the crisis and the origin of storms (Sund4r), Monday, 21 September 2020 17:38 (forty-six minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

It was different from both lists but I'm capable of observing other people. Two other people have said on the RYM thread that they knew people whose tastes looked like that list fwiw.

Wait, these are not the top 50 albums I see here: http://www.acclaimedmusic.net/061024/1948-02a.htm
London Calling is #10 on that list, for instance, and Is This It falls outside the top 50. Ditto Doolittle. Where was this list from?

I like at least one track from every one of these records. Best is Forever Changes over Astral Weeks.
