“You’ve got to take it all in and enjoy it while you still can, though, because December will be here in the blink of an eye,” he added.

According to reports, Mr. Fall will then put on a down jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, buy a lift ticket at a local ski slope, and start getting short with people at work because the early sunset “affects his mood,” thus signaling the completion of his metamorphosis into Mr. Wintertime Asshole Man.

It took about five viewings before I noticed that even the car that drives by at the end has 9/21 written on the side of it.

dearly beloved

we are gathered here today to get through this thing called summer

accursed word, summer, it means forever and that's a mighty long time but i'm here to tell you

there's something else

Autumn

a world of never-ending happiness; you can only see the sun in day, not night

I dunno man increasingly over the years in my neck of the woods September is becoming August, Part 2, but it’s nice to have an end in sight.

when we were in primary school we voted on our favourite seasons, and I was the only one to choose autumn, this is because I was a pre-teen edgelord. Spring is where it's at.

fc_TEFH28mo (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Wednesday, 1 September 2021 13:45 (two years ago) link

I mean Halloween is OK. From a Chinese POV I do also like mooncakes, many laowai don't. But I am too colourblind to appreciate the leaves, and I hate the drizzle.

fc_TEFH28mo (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Wednesday, 1 September 2021 13:47 (two years ago) link

In the (south of the) UK, it's been autumn since about August 1st so no real change here. One of the coolest, greyest summers I can remember. And it's back to school tomorrow. Bleak.

idk i feel like even summer-likers can embrace "finally some lows in the 60s" as a concept

fc_TEFH28mo (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Wednesday, 1 September 2021 15:46 (two years ago) link

My ideal is like 80 and not humid during the day so we can all go swimming and then down to 55 at night. Where can I have this weather?

Ima Gardener (in orbit), Wednesday, 1 September 2021 15:46 (two years ago) link

The best year would be:
Summer - 10 months
Halloween - 3 months
Sledding - 2 weeks

The 25 Best Songs Ever Ranked In Order (Deflatormouse), Wednesday, 1 September 2021 17:11 (two years ago) link

"Where can I have this weather?"

In summer or year round? In summer, that sounds like Flagstaff AZ weather or Lisbon.
Year round: maybe San Miguel de Allende MX? I think you'd want somewhere in the tropics but arid with high elevation. Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia seems to have a bunch of places where it's mid 70s highs, mid 50s lows but low humidity is bit harder to find.
