ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 15:48 (three years ago) link

Actually some people HAVE called that a Dolly Parton, but not sure if that is Commissioner-approved.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 15:50 (three years ago) link

I see people on the same Branch are also all in the same Rundle.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 15:53 (three years ago) link

Same league (Keystone, in my case), if not same rundle.

jaymc, Friday, 11 September 2020 15:55 (three years ago) link

Oh right, that's what I was trying to say.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 15:57 (three years ago) link

Seems like your Branch can also affect your Division.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 15:58 (three years ago) link

So all the people who are in your branch who are not you are in C Keystone Div 1

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 15:59 (three years ago) link

Just noticed something else. I believe the Past Answers page on the the Commissioner's Desk used to only give the current season or prior season in the off-season but now it has lots of seasons along with MLs.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 16:12 (three years ago) link

you missed the easiest question of the season thus far.

yeah i totally couldn't pull the name of the falwell college for some reason.

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Friday, 11 September 2020 17:43 (three years ago) link

It took me a microsecond to retrieve it.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 18:03 (three years ago) link

I guess no one has to leave for a new branch to formed, I just saw in my lineage.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 11 September 2020 21:40 (three years ago) link

I'm a respectable 7-8-2 now, so my upcoming match vs NA might actually be interesting.

Ruth Bae Ginsburg (Leee), Saturday, 12 September 2020 16:57 (three years ago) link

Things i never thought i would say: gee, i am glad i listened to that dj khaled/drake song twice yesterday

Are you on the jaymc branch?

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Wednesday, 16 September 2020 00:48 (three years ago) link

managed a tie only because 'cabaret' was on tv on sunday

mookieproof, Wednesday, 16 September 2020 01:14 (three years ago) link

Okay, I see.

Are you on the jaymc branch?

Yes I am.

Ruth Bae Ginsburg (Leee), Wednesday, 16 September 2020 01:51 (three years ago) link

leeee was that you that destroyed me a couple of days ago?

for those of you concerned about my unusually hot start to the season, be reassured that i'm sliding back down into my typical exact middle of the group rank

na (NA), Wednesday, 16 September 2020 14:42 (three years ago) link

Yeah, but if it's any consolation, I've been on an inexplicable hot streak for the last couple weeks by getting 4 or 5 right answers nearly every match (of course I'm probably jinxing myself now).

Ruth Bae Ginsburg (Leee), Wednesday, 16 September 2020 15:24 (three years ago) link

I've stumbled again recently (1-3-0), but getting lucky on Estonia + my opponent giving 2 points for it got me the win and guarantees that I will avoid relegation (my one goal for this season).

Pleeenk Floyd (Leee), Tuesday, 22 September 2020 19:10 (three years ago) link

i am squarely in the middle of my C rundle and i think that may be where i'm staying: average amongst the intelligentsia but not much more

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Tuesday, 22 September 2020 21:19 (three years ago) link

No comment. Thinking of signing up for Stuff... or ELSE! ML, looks like fun. Did not do the precursor, Bird Nerds... or ELSE!

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 24 September 2020 02:01 (three years ago) link

Finished 10th and right at 0.500 thanks to a gift of a 5(2)-4(3) win! Pleased as hell that I'm right in the middle after a horrific start and that I ended with a non-losing record.

Pleeenk Floyd (Leee), Thursday, 24 September 2020 18:49 (three years ago) link

I finished just below the promotion zone in my C rundle after hovering above that line for a little while. But the bloom has been off the rose for a while now so no biggie.

ABBA O RLY? (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 24 September 2020 18:57 (three years ago) link

I managed to escape relegation, so I'm happy with that. I just checked, and my rundle had the highest QPct across all of LL (.797). Which means I had a bunch of matches where I thought I did pretty well, but my opponent did just a bit better.

jaymc, Thursday, 24 September 2020 18:58 (three years ago) link

best finish ever -- second, behind the fucker who won for the fourth time -- and finally made the tourney. fortunately our QPct was nowhere near that of jaymc's rundle

mookieproof, Thursday, 24 September 2020 19:39 (three years ago) link

My QPct is one correct question from being division-average, so my actual performance mostly ended up matching my Pythagorean.

Pleeenk Floyd (Leee), Thursday, 24 September 2020 20:21 (three years ago) link

that's the guy who invented the steam engine, right?

How did everyone do on Biblical Phrases in Common Usage?

Erdős-szám 69 (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 1 October 2020 18:50 (three years ago) link

I learned a lot of people paid more attention in Sunday school than I did

Guayaquil (eephus!), Thursday, 1 October 2020 19:57 (three years ago) link

I've been doing pretty well in this current crop of One Days by finishing above the median on almost all of them, and the one where I wasn't I was in the 43rd %ile. My usual milieu has been in 20s-30s.

Kaliningrad Oberst (Leee), Thursday, 1 October 2020 22:05 (three years ago) link

Kicking myself for forgetting to sign up for the Presidents in Pop Culture ML, which seems like it'd be in my wheelhouse.

jaymc, Friday, 2 October 2020 02:13 (three years ago) link

it's pretty good, more challenging than I expected so far

na (NA), Friday, 2 October 2020 13:37 (three years ago) link

Looks like my branch has been moved to a new league for next season: Sakura.

jaymc, Thursday, 8 October 2020 17:13 (three years ago) link

Cherry Blossom Time!

She Thinks I Will Dare (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 8 October 2020 17:45 (three years ago) link

I do prefer the name Sakura (which I voted for along with Wakanda) over Keystone, so that's fun!

Fisherman's Worf (Leee), Thursday, 8 October 2020 18:55 (three years ago) link

I actually find it interesting to track you guys once in a while since most of you are in the same division, hope that’s not crepey.

She Thinks I Will Dare (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 8 October 2020 19:02 (three years ago) link

n/a has a match against KosmanJ tomorrow!

Garu’s Got a Rona (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 15 October 2020 03:46 (three years ago) link

Maybe I shouldn't even say that, according to one of jaymc's earlier posts, sorry.

Garu’s Got a Rona (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 15 October 2020 03:53 (three years ago) link

i didn't even know that was somebody. their pop music get rate is not great so maybe i can pull it out.

Here Comes a Slightly Irregular (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 16 October 2020 05:42 (three years ago) link

Partly worried that I breaking a rule saying even that, but even if in this case it is not too bad, I will tread carefully.

Did you guys receive the 60s Music ML notification on time on Thursday?
