blaze is amazing don't get me wrong

Single-minded Darkthrone is a sight to behold but I have a soft spot for the comparative maximalism of their post-Dark Throne debut. I also tend to pick atmoblack over the rawer stuff when pressed, so that might have something to do with it.

Satan, who is obv. pretty cool, is also described in the song as the guy who 'disseminate[d] the races'. Given the… less savoury lyrical aspects of this album, I welcome its cognitive dissonance.

I suppose everyone’s heard the reissue with the Fenriz commentary track by now?

I have a 2003 reissue with some Quicktime (do they still exist?) video content. Requires Win95 or higher....
