1 ORIGINAL GIBSON CHROME ADJUSTABLE BRIDGE
1 DELUXE GIBSON CASE
1 HOWARD ROBERTS FUSION GUITAR SERIAL # 82630061 MADE IN USA

THIS IS A UNIQUE ONE OF A KIND GUITAR ... READ ON...

I SPECIAL ORDERED THIS HOWARD ROBERTS FUSION IN 1979 BEFORE THEY WERE EVEN AVAILABLE IN MUSIC STORES! WHY? BECAUSE IT WAS THE FIRST JAZZ 'FUSION' F HOLE ARCH TOP HOLLOW BODY TO HAVE A SOLID ASH WOOD BEAM RUNNING DOWN THE CENTER OF THE BODY THRU THE PICKUPS AREA, GIVING THE H.R. MUCH MORE SUSTAIN AND TONE QUALITIES , WITH THE SMALLER SIZE OF A LES PAUL (SLIGHTLY LARGER) WITHOUT THE WEIGHT.

CUSTOM FEATURES: I HAD A 1981 OVATION ADAMAS - THE ELECTRONICS WENT OUT - WHEN I CONTACTED OVATION THEY SENT ME ALL THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPLACE ALL THE ELECTRONICS INCLUDING THE STEREO BRIDGE /TAILPIECE PICK UP. I DIDN'T NEED TO REPLACE THE P/U SO I DECIDED TO SEE IT IT WOULD FIT ON MY GIBSON.
THE OVATION P/U HAS 2 HOLES IN THE ENDS OF THE P/U ASSEMBLY. THESE LINED UP PERFECTLY WITH THE GIBSON BRIDGE PINS. SO AFTER FITTING THE P/U TO THE H.R BRIDGE AND TRYING IT OUT, I DECIDED TO DO A SEMI PERMANENT INSTALL WITH A 1/4" JACK AND A VOLUME KNOB. I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT MAKING ANY PERMANENT ALTERATONS TO MY $1700 GIBSON - SO I MANAGED TO CAREFULLY INSTALL THE JACK AND VOLUME POT IN THE F HOLE SO IT COULD EASILY BE REMOVED IN THE FUTURE AND NOT EFFECT ITS VALUE. NOTE THAT I USED A MATCHING GIBSON KNOB FOR THE VOLUME POT. I COVERED THE TOP SURFACE OF THE ADAMAS P/U WITH ALUMINUM FOIL TO MAKE IT PICK UP BETTER AND MAKE IT LESS DETECTABLE. NEAT HUH?

WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY, I LOVED THIS ELECTRIC / ACOUSTIC COMBINATION SO MUCH I SOLD THE ADAMAS AND NEVER LOOKED BACK. AT THE TIME I WAS GIGGING OUT EVERY DAY AND CARRYING 2 GUITARS ALONG WITH AS MUCH EQUIPMENT AS A 4 PIECE BAND AS A ONE MAN BAND. AT THE TIME -1982- NO ONE HAD OFFERED AN ELECTRIC/ ACOUSTIC GUITAR. YES THERE WERE ACOUSTIC / ELECTRICS LIKE MY OVATION - BUT NO ELECTRIC/ ACOUSTIC GUITARS. THIS COMBO ALLOWED ME TO CARRY ONLY ONE GUITAR TO MY GIGS.

WITH THIS COMBO YOU CAN HAVE 100% ALL ELECTRIC SOUND WITH ALL ITS VARIATIONS OF THE HUMBUCKERS ...OR YOU CAN HAVE 100% ACOUSTIC SOUND OF AN OVATION. OR YOU CAN HAVE ELECTRIC WITH A LITTLE ACOUSTIC SOUND MIXED IN OR MAINLY ACOUSTIC SOUND WITH VARYING AMOUNTS OF ELECTRIC GIBSON SOUND MIXED IN. IMAGINE THE INCREDIBLE THOUSANDS OF VARIATIONS OF SOUND WITH EFFECTS THROWN IN? WHEN I PLAYED WITH OVERDRIVE FUZZ TONE WITH SOME ACOUSTIC MIXED IN (OR VICE VERSA) , MY AUDIENCE WAS AMAZED AND GUITAR PLAYERS WOULD ASK ME 'HOW DID YOU GET THAT SOUND?"

I ORDERED THIS GIBSON SPECIFICALLY WITH THE SUNBURST FINISH. I ALSO ORDERED THE 1ST YEAR "CRANK" TUNER HEADS. GIBSON FORGOT TO INSTALL THEM SO THEY SENT ME A NEW IN BOX SET. I HAVE NEVER USED THEM - AND HAVE INCLUDED THIS EXTREMELY RARE SET OF TUNER HEADS WITH THIS LISTING. I VALUE THESE AT $700 ALONE. THESE ARE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE COLLECTIBILITY FACTOR OF THIS SUPER RARE GIBSON HOWARD ROBERTS FUSION.

DO NOT CONFUSE THIS 1ST YR DOT NECK MODEL WITH THE LATER HR FUSION MODELS THAT IMO COPIED THE IBANEZ GEORGE BENSON MODEL WITH A DIFFERENT TAIL PIECE AND GOLD HARDWARE. THE IBANZEZ WAS A HOT SELLER- AND IMO GIBSON SOLD OUT TO TRY TO COMPETE WITH IBANEZ.

INCLUDED IN THE SALE ;
1 NEW IN BOX GIBSON CRANK TUNERS NEVER USED VALUED AT $700
1 ORIGINAL GIBSON CHROME ADJUSTABLE BRIDGE
1 DELUXE GIBSON CASE

2007 Larrivee L-09 40th Anniversary Commemorative Acoustic Guitar - $2,500

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Larrivee
model name / number: L-09 40th Anniversary
2007 Larrivee L-09 40th Anniversary Commemorative
Very Good to Excellent condition - 9/10

Asking $2500

This very limited and special run was released by Jean Larrivee to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of his company. Sam Ash was given the exclusive on the sale of this commemorative guitar. Only 60 made! How's that for rare?

Yes, it's an L-09, but it's so much more. Also, includes the following:
Original (6-latch!) Hard Shell Case. It's a substantial BEAST!

Special Edition "JCL" headstock inlay which has appeared on only a very few special runs.

Jean Larrivee signature inlay on 12th Fret (as far as I know this is the only run that has ever had this inlay)

Black Tuner Knobs
Flame Maple Binding

Just simply a beautiful looking, beautiful playing and beautiful sounding guitar which has "opened up" wonderfully!

I have too many guitars, and I promised my wife I'd let some of my babies go, since I rarely play anymore, so I've got all of my guitars on sale. Frankly, if this one doesn't sell, I'll rejoice! I have 3 Larrivees in my stable and this one is easily my favorite.

Run-of-the-mill Larrivee L-09's in this condition typically run $2000 to north of $2500. New run-of-the-mill Larrivee L-09's have MSRP's of $3400, and street values of $2600 new. But this 40th Anniversary edition is for the collector-player. I'm sacrificing, but it's yours for $2500! In the years I have owned this guitar, I have only seen TWO 40th Anniversary models ever offered for resale! People DO NOT let these go once they get their hands on one, and I doubt you will either.

When you're ready to jump on this, we'll MEET AT MY LOCAL POLICE STATION so we can complete the CASH ONLY transaction FACE-TO FACE. DELIVERY IS NOT AVAILABLE! NOT INTERESTED IN TRADES!

Please leave your name and phone number when you email, or I won't reply. Thanks for looking.

Looking for a Hamer Explorer that I sold to a music store in early 2002 - $123,456 (Minneapolis)

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/msg/d/minneapolis-looking-for-hamer-explorer/7262759098.htmlhaha missed that one, good stuff

make / manufacturer: Hamer
model name / number: Explorer

Hi. I’m looking for a Hamer Explorer that I sold to a musicgoround in Minneapolis around 2002. Sadly, I don’t even have a picture of the thing. But the picture I posted here is relevant — I had an artist paint my Hamer’s body with the negative colors of the American flag, which they did pretty well. The sides, back and neck stayed stock (clear coat over whatever wood was the stock wood that year). I had also installed a Seymore Duncan George Lynch Screamin’ Demon pickup in the bridge, and a Seymore Duncan ‘59 in the neck. Locking tuners were also installed. I’m pretty sure it had a hard case too.

I loved this thing when I bought it around 1999, and I planned out exactly what I was gonna do with it for a while, and then it actually took a long time to execute everything, and then I started playing drums in a band and...well, time makes fools of us all. I obviously regret selling it, but I was young and needed rent money. Stupid. The dude at musicgoround or wherever was overjoyed when I came in.

Listen, if you have this thing and you know you’ll never sell it, I understand. Contact me anyway. I want to know what it’s been up to for the last 20 years. I would absolutely love to see pictures. And hey if your friend has it, it’s ok to rat them out — I’m not gonna hassle them too hard for it. Or even if you SAW it once. I’d love to hear. I’d just love to know that it didn’t end up in a dumpster or something. Or if you do have it — maybe we could work out a trade? I got some cool shit.

Get at me.

Tom Anderson Bobcat - $2,800 (Osseo)

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/msg/d/osseo-tom-anderson-bobcat/7334026247.html

Bobcat is an Anderson guitar through and through, and as such every outrageous Anderson attribute is soundly intact and at your beck and call: Smooth and fast, Bobcat's buttery playability is just effortless to play and bend, for as far as you would like to push it. Unbelievably resonant, Bobcat rings seemingly forever, even unplugged. One chord and you will know how big, how vibrant, how full and how in tune a guitar can actually be.

Unique 3-on-a-side headstock with nearly straight string pull renders unparalleled tuning ease and stability while offering a much stronger neck to headstock union.

Encircling the entire back circumference of the body is a smooth, soft cut radius for next to body comfort. It is fantastic to hold Bobcat close. Hand selected, kiln dried mahogany means Bobcat's overall weight is less than you'd expect from this style of instrument. Just so nice to strap on and play all night long. Uniquely styled lower horn takes its styling cue from our Raven model. Rounded, shortened and deeper cut, it splays slightly outward to noticeably grant easier access to the highest regions of the fretboard and balances Bobcat’s center of gravity nicely when sitting to play. No sliding off the leg for Bobcat, just sit, plant it and play, comfortably.

Countersunk bridge, tailpiece and pickup rings look so, so, so cool and provide a more natural angle for the picking hand and wrist to contact the string plane, makes picking a more effortless motion.8 hum-free sounds from a simple and traditional 3-way selector and your choice of a two or three knob setup. With Push/Pull pots to cut power for each pickup individually. The addition of an optional VA Boost will multiply the available tonal palette to 16. Lightweight Tune-o-matic style bridge is standard and wonderful to play, but so is the optional vintage tremolo style bridge if you so desire.

Just a moment is all that will be needed to open your mind and heart, and once you hear how resonant and feel how easily Bobcat plays you will utterly lose your mind, in a good way!

Potentially interested in trades for similar value guitars, guitars plus cash, or amps. Just ask. Thanks for looking!

Well now I'm curious about how in-tune a guitar can actually be

There’s this dude in my area that has been trying to sell a 1967 Gibson ES-335 “husk” (ie just the body/neck/headstock/hardware sans electronics or pickups) for $3000 in fb, and it was “semi-professionally” refinished in a white that makes me think of Siegfried and Roy. I feel sad every time I see it.

Also it's kinda perfect that it's a Carr Mercury amp, because there's a relatively well-known guitar shop near the town I moved to that also has an NYC location that is honestly really nice and pleasant to go to but is totally the ultimate boomer bluesdad guitar mecca, and the first time I went in one of the guys tried to sell me on a Carr Mercury amp and I thought it sounded kind of shitty for the money tbqh. They also tried to hype me on this little thing called the Colby Lil Darlin - a 5w amp with a single volume knob and no other settings and it costs like $1200.

It sounded pretty good cranked, but it basically only did that, like you're just charging me $1200 for an OD effect with a small speaker attached.

Guitar Sanctuary is that like a "no kill shelter" for troubled guitars where they are allowed to run free in an environment closely resembling their home's in the wild? Namely the basement of a suburban McMansion with a Bud Light neon sign and that like off-white deep pile carpeting that goes all the way to sliding glass door?

I volunteer at the guitar sanctuary. I plug the ole fellas in and give em a nice octave bend before moving on to the next. it's the least we can do. it was their land, really, before we came along.

Yeah the place I'm thinking of, Rudy's, is a similar vibe. It is legitimately a nice store and the owners are nice, but it's in a super-rich suburb, largely sells very expensive guitars, and has its own in-house brand of ugly-ass custom guitars that are like $8000 each.

An instrument from Wildwood isn't just an ordinary guitar. It's your guitar. Each and every instrument we sell includes a full, point by point setup, an exhaustive evaluation, and expert shipping procedures, with first class, industry leading standards from start to finish. Why? Because you deserve it.

Wildwood is where I got my Jazzmaster - they sell some crazy stuff but I gotta say that service was top notch (for a guitar priced at whatever the USA-made Fenders were going for then, not custom shop or anything). They did a setup with NYXL strings that was as good as I could get locally even after shipping.

For Sale: 2 - 2013 & 2015 Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocasters - Sonic Light Blue and Vintage Olympic Yellow include nice Padded Gig Bags.

Sonic Blue Strat - Pickups have been upgraded with the Kinman Blues Set Pickups (exact pickups Bonnie Raitt uses), for Great Sustain and an Aged Sound, with Zero Hum, and for a Ripping Soulful Sound. Guitar is in Mint / Excellent Condition! Pickups were Professionally installed (at St. Paul Guitar Repair) after I purchased the guitar, which cost an additional $299.99 for the pickups alone, + the sales tax, and another $85.00 to swap out the original pickups, which is the reason I am selling this guitar for more money. These guitars can generally be purchased from $500 - $750 or so online (i.e. Reverb.com), but they are likely not modified with more expensive pickups as mine are, and if they were, those guitars would likely be in the same price range, or possibly more. Too get the best sound out of any guitar, pickups are the first step to getting there normally, which costs more money. I'm not making any money by selling either of these guitars, I just want to get back the money I have invested in them.

This pickup set is slightly less aggressive, warmer, rounder Aged-Strat*- sound, with a slightly milder attack than the Impersonator series set in clean mode and breaks into crunch more easily. The Alnico magnets have slightly less brightness/presence ,,, with medium strong output. The Kinman Blues Pickup set is also great for overdrive sounds with 'clarity and TONE' with Zero-Hum. An evergreen favorite with players all around the world. It is also essential to use low capacitance cable(s), to get the incredible performance for these pickups.

These specific pickups are for the more serious players, as this is the closest it gets to the "Real Deal" blues guitar sound, but again, that is a personal choice also.

Here is the link to the Kinman Blues Set Pickups installed in the Sonic Blue Guitar:

https://kinman.com/model-products.php?pid=4&products=Stratocaster&linegroup=yes&modelid=23&model=Blues+set&group=Named%20Sets

If your looking for anything close to what I have, you will likely have to pay more, as most sellers are looking to make a profit. I just want to get my money back, with the extra upgrades I have put into them, that is all..

Also, I'm not sure if I have the original Texas Special pickups for this specific guitar or not, but I will include with the sale, if I can find them!

or this guitar if you choose:

2013/2014 Vintage Olympic Yellow Fender Deluxe Strat - Excellent to "Mint Condition", which also includes the the "Texas Special Custom Shop Pickups" (for that Billy Gibbons ZZ Top "Gritty Texas Sizzle"), Alder Body and Maple Neck. Played very little and has lots of fret life left too. This Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster 2013/2014 model, has a creamy vintage yellow finish, and the neck is also in excellent shape, which has no dings or nicks. The Roadhouse Deluxe Specs pair exceptionally well with the Texas Special Custom Shop pickups, and with the S-1 switch and active preamp, it gives the guitar a wide variety of sounds. This specific Olympic Vintage Yellow color darkens over time, which is normal, which gives it a darker vintage appearance over time, which is exactly the same as the Yngwie Malmsteen and Ritchie Blackmore reissue finishes too!

I am in the process of selling off a few of my guitars, as my band has decided to call it quits and go our separate ways.

Guitars can be sold separately, or together as a pair @ $1700.00, so I am actually giving the buyer a better deal to purchase both guitar together, so I can make additional room/space, and possibly purchase a high end guitar at some point.

$1050.00 for the Sonic Blue Strat alone.
$950.00 for the Olympic White Strat alone.

If either of these "Mint Condition" guitars can be found cheaper elsewhere, (with the upgraded Custom Shop Texas Pickups or Bonnie Raitt Pickups), I will beat that price by $50.00!!!

Remember, there's no need to buy new, when slightly used will do!!!

in fairness, St. Paul Guitar Repair is an excellent shop
