are any Tosca and/or Peace Orchestra records worth hearing?

I was quite fond of Opera, Suzuki and Suzuki in Dub at the time; no idea whether they'd hold up today. I don't think I've heard any Peace Orchestra.

Peace Orchestra is brilliant. Takes a while to hit though.

I'll check it out. I'm due for downtempo throwbacks anyway.

would totally believe if you told me that song is a lost gem from 1995 (the year). but not quite. or 96, 98, whenever K&D looong peak was. loved it
co-signing the greatness of the first Peace Orchestra
there's a lot of great stuff to be found on the first 3 Tosca albums. go with Suzuki first, maybe. Fuck Dub is just straight undeniable classic imo (the 12 not the rec w/ the mixes. nevermind, that too)

Echoing the love for Peace Orchestra. The first Tosca is also very good. Lol al realising it’s been 20+ years after having seen K&D live (which was great in a very of its time way)

Suzuki is one of the few albums of that genre & time I still listen to

Damn they really haven't released anything since the 90s
(except for a 3-track ep in 2008)

Is the vocal sample on this Nina Simone? If so, where is it from?

"Technically, it's a "lost" album, which they made in 1995, made a few test pressings of and then forgot about. They recently discovered in a box of DATs, did a little polishing, and here we are."

i love love love K&D but there's a peculiar absence of bass in most of "Johnson"?

Peter Kruder has been producing over the years, mostly fairly unremarkable deep house/minimal but I did like Vespertilio from 2012.

Here's a mix I did almost 20 year ago that has stuff like Tosca, Boozoo Bajou and Baby Mammoth on it
