Speaking of which, I saw he opted out of the season. Pretty amazing haul the Jays got for him considering he only wound up starting 11 games.

This team is so much goddamn fun to watch.

My interest had been awakened a bit before the Yankees series. Hard to care at this point, even if they back into a "playoff" spot.

Didn’t expect them to take 3/4 of this series after how the last one against the Yankees went; but they’re playoff bound!

I think it'd take them advancing to the second round for me to begin to take a sincere interest, but it they were to win today, that'd be a half-step towards that: .550 is at least a legitimate record for a playoff-bound team. So I guess the schedule just lined up perfectly with whatever good 60-game stretch they were going to have during an actual season.

wow Alomar. i remember some allegations back in 2009, but nothing came out of it that i knew. then all of the sudden he's banned from baseball and the jays are dropping his banner from the level of excellence. crazy.

Just read about that. Is he banned or suspended? I've heard so much stuff about Alomar over the years, things that seemed plausible and things that seemed crazy made-up. Sad.
