his cooking skills seem to have come on leaps and bounds, he does artisan bakery and all sorts of fancy shit these days.

the first proper meal he ever ever undertook was three full courses, one of them a souffle iirc -- which was extremely admirably bold given that previously he was like im boiling an egg how is it on fire

from the FB pictures the three-course meal was a triumph

His long-time beau being a professional chef does soften some of the edges of his Einstein-in-1905 leap - though it is still very impressive!

lex regularly posted until 2017, last post in January 2018 with his noms for the 2017 EOY as a slight return. seem to remember he wanted to focus on a book he was writing.
