after years of picking it up piecemeal, I'm finally watching this via a comprehensive playlist from podcast episode 1 and just
marveling at Tim stealing Gregg's likeness for Kington, and lines like

"Well I find it ridiculous that you get in a motorcycle accident in a non-moving vehicle and suddenly you're blind."

I had never heard this Heidecker podcast so I listened to a couple of eps, it is very funny but also I am so used to him being in character that it’s weird to hear him talking about actual good films, how insane trump is &c

Also I only just realised that when he flips out & has tantrums and bullies people in on cinema he is totally doing Christian Bale in the terminator clip

Tim said they have tons of outtakes where they break into laughter and he teased a compilation. Evidently this is usually Gregg's fault for droning on too long and not being able to get out before he breaks.

I had no idea each season was filmed in a single day. I figured maybe over the course of a couple weeks or something....

Loved Gregg’s Chicken Delight jacket and of course he has a Tiki room in his house (extra points for him if he bought it because it already had a Tiki room).

I don't really find it surprising. it's a show which could only appeal to total heads. not going to win over many people flicking between channels. the youtube episodes don't even do particularly spectacular numbers. they have to fundraise to make the Oscar special every year. seems very much like a labour of love from them rather than something adult swim is keen for them to keep making

Tim always seems to have a chip on his shoulder when it comes to stuff like this so who knows. You’d think Adult Swim would let him do whatever he wants by now.
