This track simply makes me cry at heart. they are still on the top.

Perfect song for sitting relaxed and chill out!!

Loving it. I won't buy it though, rather stream till the ep is out and that I buy without thinking. So, yeah, loving it to death. That track is just what I need right now to calm my mind.

ends about 5 minutes too early if you ask me

yeah it takes a bit too long to get going and then doesn't spend enough time there once it has

― ufo, Thursday, August 8, 2019 10:33 PM

the juice was barely shook!

I liked it. wonder if the box will have some longer variations of the many "film edit"s.

Can someone explain to me what, exactly, Darren Emerson was doing in Underworld, with examples provided from the recorded music? I can one sound in "River of Bass" that seems to be emanating from a DJ and aside from that I figure him for dead weight. If I'm out of it, enlighten me quick.

The only problem I have with this album (it's not a big problem though) : I keep expecting The Edge to start the intro to Where The Streets Have No Name during track 4. :-/

I'm thinking probably not

groovypanda, Thursday, 11 June 2020 18:10 (three years ago) link

"to heal" was at the very end of my ballot, next to "moaner." it's gorgeous, the kind of ambient that makes you feel like you're falling in slow motion between stars

A lost masterpiece, the sound the production everything just wonderful. Still blows me away all these many years later.

This is indeed one of the best, elegantly timeless & atmospheric songs released by a New Wave or Electronica band in the 1980s, for sure! : )

this is the best song of the 80's ,when they play the first time, nobody knew what to do , they where too ahead of time

live video 1985 (wrong aspect ratio)

My opinion - this is the most beautiful song of the 80's!

https://i.imgur.com/RFkIrbr.jpg

I heard this first hand in 1983 as a 14 year old and thought it as wierd and wonderful at the time but would not actually hear it again until many years later on a compliation, nowadays it sounds utterly superb to me!

audience video 2013

This song is so ethereal and mesmerizing....epic

The lead guitar-singer is named Karl Hyde and one of the keyboards is named Rick Smith. Later, they became UNDERWORLD!

Yes, I went through a phase of listening to it every day for about six months.

Of course the technology that created Karl's hair has been lost to modern science.

The way the speech starts to draa-aa-ag slightly with the beats really gets me. I don't know why. Love the album, except for Diamond Jigsaw, which is silly fun but out of place.

There are some great anthems on there and also some beautiful and dark songs too. Moon In Water and Louisiana are fantastic. I say go back and get Barking if it's cheap. It's a fun album.

This was one of only two tracks from Barking that didn't make my ballot (although this one only just missed out).

Something about the sample just rubs me up the wrong way although the melody is great
