There's always the trick of opening the "skipping x messages..." link in a private window so that the embeds don't load. If you were looking to load a specific one you could copy its 'link' back to your logged-in browser window.
(or are there better ways to go about such things?)

xp i think it's because i downloaded the whole webpage, and it was also counting some other smallish files
