That's a great jam, indeed.

Right now I'm revisiting this old favorite:

Trying to sort out my favorite Wolf Eyes LP. It was a toss up between:

Human Animal
Slicer
Mugger

Human Animal wins

Haven't taken a dive into Wolf Eyes in a long time. Used to really like "Dead Hills" and "Slicer" too, and the "Burned Mind" I remember being pretty fond of and I kind of checked out then other then catching them live when they would come through. Not sure I ever had access to "Mugger" or "Human Mind," maybe I will do some revisiting. Just saw that all of these are on their Bandcamp site (along with TONS of other stuff).

Wow, a lot of typos, sorry. I think you get the idea hah hah. Really enjoyed seeing the Dilloway-era band live, they were great. He brought a great element that I always kinda missed after, though Olson and Nate as a duo I like a lot too.

grandavis, there's a lot of good stuff in their catalogue but there's definitely some chaff. I've enjoyed them the couple times I caught them this decade but envy that you got to catch the wild 00s sets.

It's lame that I never post anything much here. Gotta try to remedy that.

Anyway, brother, here's "Hashish".

This came out in September and I literally just learned it existed this week.

I wish there was some definitive way to learn about music by artists I love in real time.

I have it set up where I get emails every time an artist i “follow” on bandcamp releases something. Hoping this helps me snag something next month before it sells out. I have notifications set up on my phone too but they’ve never worked.

What I will say about "Sour Peach," which is long, is this: stick with it. Breathe it in all the two the end, ideally on headphones or in a place/where you won't be interrupted.

One of the pleasures of reading “Ain’t But A Few of Us” is being turned on to all these jazz players I’d never heard of - people who’ve done or did great work but aren’t part of the canon.
