so glad you asked lol!
so basically using a site called twoseven, I can broadcast video to a "private" room (all you nee is the URL). I can do this in 720p and with uploaded subtitles viewers are free to turn off. (hypothetically, all viewers could watch a movie in a different language simultaneously.) all anyone needs to attend is the URL (twoseven.xyz/quarantinecinema) and the browser extension, which is unobtrusive.
there is a text chat function that runs with the movie, but it is very easy to hide if you're not into that.
right now I'm doing three screenings a week - Tue/Thu 7:30pm ET and Sun 2pm ET. Tuesdays are random, Thursdays are auteur day (4-week director rotations, Preston Sturges up next), Sunday brunch is cult/nasty/avant movie day.
I feel like I started this thing way too late but ideally a bunch of people could program stuff and a semi regular schedule (almost like....some sort of movie...theater) could get filled out. hosting the video is a bit more work but I'd be happy to train.

It really is incredible that this is the only good service I could find. And even then it took a lot of trial and error to find the best way to work it
If anyone is interested in programming my email's in there too

that looks cool! but I don't have a Roku box or Android TV so I can't try it out yet. I did try another service (watchtogether?) but it didn't have the wonderful subtitle flexibility twoseven has

If anyone is interested in joining in for the first time, we're screening the 1995 Claude Lelouch Les Miserables at 7:30pm ET
