Baffling Thread Titles

I like Gilbert Ratchet a lot which contains some quite fun violence, and some of the one offs that are often parodies of stodgy old brit comics. Yeah the Private Eye style stuff is pretty weak piss.

Is there much of that? I haven't read it in years, mind you, so it's still the Vibrating Bum-faced Goats/ Bears of Murder etc to me.

tbh I've probably bought it about half dozen times in the last ten years, but still occasionally look up old classics online.

Assumed for the longest time that this was an inexplicable assertion that the vibe of ILM became super positive late at night, eventually clicked through and discovered that it was in reference to the band Yes and yet the thread title somehow became no more explicable to me. Nevertheless, I've happily adopted the phrase 'all yessed out' into my everyday vernacular.

re. Viz, Drunken Bakers is up there with some of the greatest comics of all time

i think of Drunken Bakers as another league altogether.

Top Tips used to be better but it's still occasionally fantastic

In general I feel like Viz is slightly more mean-spirited than it used to be - not all the time, but sometimes - but maybe it's me that's changed

Yeah too lazy to click now but someone pretty early said "kip?" and they were not answered afaik. I briefly scrolled up and down and up then I experienced that special little feeling of boredom and exhaustion every time I begin to consider researching ilx vernacular so I moved on.

you're right, rogermexico., Challengers is fantastic. i sort of lump it together with Together, which is unfair ... i just revisited the tracklist of Challengers and yes, it's great. it's really only Together that I struggle with a bit.

but again, this band's worst moments are still better than most's best, imo
