I'm still pulling; I don't feel a burning need to target specific 5* characters and I reliably get them in the 10-11 cover range by the time they rotate into classics, so I figure if I move my bonus 5 to the next one rotating out, I will come close to covering all of the Next Big Three without torturing myself by hoarding.

Solving the ISO grind involves either a) A fuckton of money, or B) playing way more insanely than I currently do, neither of which are options for me

Yeah I don’t spend, and after having banked like 4 mil iso when covers were scarce, I’m iso broke again. I’ve been rechamping 3* though (third time through) but keeping the max champs this time, and that adds up. I have a max covered sinister to champ and now I gotta champ skrull, that’s like 900k right there.

So many 4*s to level up, but I'm focusing on building XF Deadpool and Valkyrie so I have some answer to all those Gritty teams (with Rulk).

And I just hit 75 wins in Shield Simulator, first time in years, thanks pandemic.
A little more grinding to get that Heroic 10-pack for the season reward.

I can't even tell you how many times Karnak has killed my squad basically by himself at this point. I fucking hate him.

I champed Kitty last week! it has been a long road. She is amazing obviously. Now I have all of the meta 5* champed except for all the new ones. my iHulk is 5-3-2 but he'll be out of LLs in a week & a half & so I doubt I'll champ him before that. He's already my bonus 5*. I have Belova at 7-4-3 & so am likely to have her champable soon. I have Apocalypse at 5-2-3 but since he's the newest LL I will probably champ him too. Is he great? I haven't been that impressed but maybe I still have Kitty eyes. I don't have any Onslaught yet.

Apocalypse + Thorkoye is hilarious. Collect teamups, let Thor passively collect red, Apocalypse red becomes insane. I've dropped 100K dmg in the most Hearts of Darkness on the dreaded Royal Family node in SCL10 this go-round; it's the easiest clears of that node I've had in a looooooooooong time

yeah looking forward to champing him! I have too much iso debt to put anything into him now. I'm a couple days from champing 4* hawkeye ronin, the last 4* I haven't champed that isn't limited (Spider Ham) or new (Hellcat & now Legion).

then I can champ Mister Sinister already but don't have the iso, and then the three new ones need iso, and 5* Loki is just a cover away from champable.

the real iso drain has been rechamping all the 3*s. my third time through champing the 3*s, but they're a lucrative farm, and it's good to keep a champ 3* since they help in pvp (though the last few pvps have been 4* which is good for my roster, and the current Karolina one shows how annoying she is to play against, going airborne again and again).

& nicki minaj with Kitty & BRB was very fun

Thoughts on Killmonger?

He seems good, not likely to be top meta, but better than e.g. Havok. I'd like to champ him! He may have interesting interactions with Mister Sinister, who I can already champ but haven't had the ISO yet.

I'm back to hoarding CP & LLs. I got iHulk to 5-4-3 and softcapped him at 415 because you want him 33 levels less than your Okoye to minimize the colors he tanks. I have Yelena champable (currently saving ISO to do it) and Apocalpyse at 5-2-5 with nearly enough shards for the last color. I'll break the hoard again once Yelena leaves LLs, or when I need an Onslaught cover for a required node. I don't think Onslaught is very good, certainly ok but not great. I think.

I agree. I wish Onslaught had been 4* and Legion had been 5* (although I understand why Legion was 4*)

yeah, I agree with your Onslaught/Legion transposition. Do you think Legion is a 4* because he would be too powerful otherwise, at 6ap per power?

Yeah, 6 AP/power with 6 ever-changing powers depending on your current AP levels means you can always fling SOMETHING at the opposing team that will likely be nightmarish to deal with at 5* levels

(xp) Yeah, me too. I usually play MPQ on my work commute, which I haven't had since sometime in March. I've been doing the Deadpool daily and not much else.

I do the daily and the 4*/5* PVE nodes that give CP.

I was like that for years, and will definitely slip back into that pattern sooner or later. The occasional injection of VIP access and new cards can get me going for a month at a time.

I just champed Apocalypse! Now I have 17 champed 5*, two champable once I get the iso (Mister Sinister & Yelena), and one softcapped at 415 (iHulk at 5-4-3). Apocalypse is very good. In PVE with half health 5Thor & BRB, the damage he does is nuts. Just fire his yellow and things start to go well very quickly. I imagine he'll team well with BRB in PVP, or with say 5Iceman if you want the antistun for dealing with e.g. Bishop or Worthy Cap (both of whom should get a nerf soon).

Nice! My Apocalypse is still 0/1/3 but when I pair him with Thorkoye he still melts faces; that red is stupid funny. How are you speccing him?

3-5-5; the red goes to 4 (!) hits at 5. The black still packs a punch at 3 too. It seems pretty definitive that way. I had him at 5-2-5 during the last PVE when he was buffed to god mode and even with red at 2 with his yellow fired he was doing close to 100k damage. Unbelievable.

btw BRB/Kitty for 4* Falcon's PVP is kind of hilarious, if slow

yes, I got to my usual 1000 with that team but it was indeed slow. I wish Falcon's red fired at more like 10, because it would be fun to use it occasionally! But whoever gets to 14ap without some autogeneration like BRB has for blue/green?

I haven't looked at Polaris yet. But 4 stars are just a waste for me now. Sure, I'll have it champed very soon, but I won't ever use it.

I'm sitting on 1000CP trying to decide if I want to try to draw the last two Onslaught covers I need, or not.

with shards I got the 13th iHulk cover but the general consensus is to keep him 33 (I think?) levels below Okoye if you want her to tank purple and blue (in addition to red, black, and yellow). But it's frustrating not to champ him! I have three covers for him saved also. Still, Okoye + iHulk is now my default CL10 PVE team.

Hopefully there'll be a CP store soon with Okoye covers.

huh. I hate Bishop though, as a 5* player. Mine is leveled ok (280+ somewhere) but he sucks to play and he sucks to play against. I am aware of a nerf to him that is baked into the current game but not yet implemented; it may have been put there as a joke by the developers to taunt the data miners.

Speaking of which, looks like Bishop and Worthy Cap got some hard nerfs/reworks. Never was able to invest in 'em anyway...

yeah Polaris is pretty crazy, I like that teams with her are simple to beat but also powerhouses on offense. That's like the Thorkoye meta: I beat those teams 100% of the time, but it's still a good way to climb to 500 or so.

I ended up drawing my mini CP horde & got Apocalypse to 462. I fully covered Killmonger & will get the last Onslaught covers on shards. But they're both meh. I got 5Loki to 13 covers on shards a few days ago too, I guess I'll champ him. We'll see if Heimdall is worth drawing.

Onslaught + 5* ProfX is super fucking annoying, esp. if you’re running Thorkoye

Worthy Cap might still be OK? Not crazy but not terrible. Bishop will now generate 1 blue AP a turn and does nothing else.

My preferred teams for PVE are still Apocalypse (now up to 464), BRB, 5Thor ; and Okoye-iHulk-whatever (Doctor Strange if bots, whatever 5* is buffed otherwise).

PVP it's still BRB+Kitty, at least when I get high enough to worry about retals. I always play to 1000, hit 1200 on the last one because I had some plump easy targets floating high (Okoye-Thors basically, they are so fast and easy to down).

A couple of days ago I drew the last cover for Onslaught, so I'll champ him next. I'm close to having half of the 5* champed! I've champed Killmonger and Yelena and Loki in the last month-ish.

Since America is champed, I put my undercovered 5Prof and Onslaught with her and just vaporized PvE, it was amazing
