What's the deal with Despacito? Doesn't seem like a particularly noteworthy song or video to me.

I mean, obviously if it has X Billion views. It just seems like a generic song to have on in the background or something.

was terribly terribly ie about to hurl hungover on a hot busy coach ride a couple of years ago and the cheerful community of young italians at the back of the coach kept on singing Despacito over and over again. every time i hear it it takes me very vividly back to that moment.
